I don't think there's a any recorded instance of a cheetah eating an adult human. While they are wild animals and can be dangerous, cheetahs are the most docile big cats in the world. They've been held as a pet by ancient Egyptians and Medieval nobles. They were even used to hunt deer. They like hunting, but it will give it's prey away to nearly all other predators. It simply isn't big and strong enough to defend it, and it can't afford to lose a fight.

Coyote, I kept waiting for you to mention that cheetah’s have a lot in common with domesticated house cats. They purr instead ‘roar’ like lions do...in fact, if they purr they don’t roar & visa versa. Also, my little kitty eats her food in ‘gulps’ or whole bites like Monty, then her stomach does all the digestive work. That’s why house cats tend to ‘graze’ instead of eating one HUGE meal at a time. Just thought you’d like to know.

There’s a KZbin video of someone sleeping with a pack of cheetahs all night Edit: the same person also turned his back to a cheetah (something you definitely shouldn’t do to most big cats) and the cheetah acted like he didn’t even notice he turned his back Edit 2: it’s always a good idea to admire anything potentially dangerous from a distance, cheetahs too. But wild cheetahs typically leave humans alone
