Meau herself is a beautiful person with beautiful lyrics in her songs. Her first wellknown song here (dat heb jij gedaan) means so much to me because of something happend to me in 2012 and a little 2 years ago i was so thankful to speak Meau after a talkshow recording about what happend to me and that her song means so much for me, to "heal" in kind of way. I had at that time also EMDR therapy, but after that conversation with Meau, i finally could let all loose the thing from 2012. She is a beautiful soul!

First saw this in the cinema, since then its been on my mind. Each time you see her walking on the bridge the tears begin welling up in my eyes. Luckily I've never experienced anything like this, but I can't imagine how many people must feel like this every day. The Internet is something wonderful yet horrible at the same time. A picture like that will never disappear when you've shared it and far too less people realise that. Once you've hit sent, you'll continue ruining someone's life every single day.

I love the translation to english of the song, its not fully accurate but i think it does portrait what she is singing very accurate. I dont teach elementary school anymore, but i might go teach at college/university (the age portraited in this issue), and i will play this song in my classroom. Just so i know they will understand

I have a 13-year old daughter. Watched this clip with her to speak about it with her. She can be a victim, a follower, a betrayer herself. Just know who to trust or better just don't send it. And if you receive, don't pass on yourself. Important that parents have this talk and watch your child's behaviour. It is the only thing I can do as I don't look in her messages or mail constantly.

Even as a responsible (at the time) 22 year old, I had shared pictures with my now-ex. For a long time, it all seemed fine (even though him popping up with his camera while I was in the showerroom or something, was a bit weird) but I felt it was quirky and flattering that he wanted these moments to be captured. I did wonder why some of his friends treated me badly and would refer to me as a slut sometimes. I portray myself extremely non-sexual to the outside world, because I've been the victim of s-abuse and I don't want anyone to feel invited to sexualize me. Turns out his friends had seen the pictures and not just that, he had shared pictures on Facebook (that I did not have, so I did not see it) and had captioned them like; 'This is my girlfriend showing off her new T-shirt (a seethrough one) or 'This is my girlfriend casually lounging on the couch' (without trousers on).' One of the guys actually showed me the pictures on HIS phone, in his fapfolder. Proudly, to see my reaction. I knew this guy for 8 years before I found out. Sure, he was an asshole, so anyone not-in-love would've likely seen red flags but I wanted to highlight that it really is on the (in this instance) men to stop sharing, not the women to be careful who sees their bra and who snaps a picture of their skirt when they're not looking.

I'm truly sorry you had to go through this. It is heartbreaking that some people are able to take something that they know is so private and abuse your trust by sharing it around for whatever sick reason they have for doing so. Thank you for being courageous enough to share your story. It is vitally important that people know that they are not alone in these situations. Sending you virtual hugs and well wishes! Nobody should ever have their trust betrayed like that.

I wish you a lot of strength in dealing with this traumatic event and I wish no one ever had to go through this, but unfortunately the world is different and is sometimes hard and painful, while it shouldn't be and it could easily have been done differently. I hope one day you can trust a partner again with private photos or even trust in general.

maybe just dont send pictures of your private parts. she has to go trough hell but remember he didnt take the picture. sad part is that so many people find it normal to send pictures like that. If you love a person and a person loves you there is no need for them to have naked pictures of each other. generations have loved each other without them. think before you do. and teach young people about what could go wrong if you do.

@@suzettebakelaar thats part of the clip. it could have been the other way around if he was the one taking a pict of his private part and she shared it. but that wasnt the clip. i didnt mean to offend anyone. cause i think its stupid either way boy or girl to send naked pictures. if i have offended you than i apologize.
