Nick Rapp It’s funny that one of their cult classics is a spinoff that tries to be more realistic. People always say gundam brought realism the the mecha genre, so the logical evolution would be to add more realism right? Makes a 12 episode mini series, get great reviews, STOPS.

Okay dude, I started watching this and I told myself "If this guy made something retro cyberpunk anime..." I'd pledge. I'm not huge into mecha, but I saw this and heard what you had to say about it being more realistic, showing your designs and the animation that you have for it and I said, fuck it. You're the first person I support through patreon (I don't do it under this nick), and who knows, maybe economic problems will someday prevent me from continuing, but when I see what you do I say "This guy is living my dream of being an animator, he's not slaving away hours in the shitty animation industry but he's doing what he wants to do and for free". It's almost a moral imperative. P.s. Consider doing something purely cyberpunky one of these days, plz.

Thanks! I really love the original Bubblegum Crisis (which is heavily inspired by Blade Runner in terms of setting) and I love cyberpunk city settings, so definitely in the future....

I'm not crazy about the animation style on the people but as for the spaceships you are an absolute genius who has revolutionized techniques for doing detailed mechanical animation. Some big animation house needs to hire you as a project lead ASAP because you have found the sweet spot between hand drawn and cgi
