I feel like Desperate Measures is an amazingly designed card. Sure, it's simple - but behind that simplicity is a work of art. Paladin secrets are known for being notoriously bad - and because they're bad, very few are actually played. However, if you play Desperate Measures, your opponent won't know what secret you played at all based on the metagame - and could fall for one of the lesser known secrets.

there is an optimal version, it runs whelps instead of eggs, Ashmore and Harrison jones and cuts the secrets like noble sacrifice , also making dudes when you have redemption active isn't great, you get way more value from a mech or bellringer sentry reviving

Games like the last one are why I run Eye for an Eye. A lot of the time you can get them down to 1-6/7 health and it's super frustrating, but watching them kill themselves is hilarious and by far the best way to win the game.

I honestly think the secret package is bad in this deck. It doesn’t make your weak matchups (Rogue, Zoo, Token, Murloc, Control Shaman) winnable and it makes your strong matchups (Warrior, Book Mage) weaker.

Can't be tutored with Bellringer, and Noble Sacrifice has anti-synergy with the deck as you only want to redemption Mechs. Also Eye for an Eye sucks pretty bad.

The reason it runs the secrets vs the twin spell is to get them out for free with bell ringer sentry. Also, the only reason the secrets are good in the deck is for synergies like the spy/ mysterious blade. Those synergies only require you to have a single secret in play, so there's no advantage to having more than one out at time with the twin spell. The secrets themselves are all pretty awful as stand alone cards, and playing 2 random ones is only slightly less awful than playing one. The twin spell might be ok if you 100% needed a secret out on every turn, or with a card like secret keeper that scales for each secret played, but in this deck it's pretty useless.

The secret package is supposed to provide early tempo so you don't get rolled. From there you can transition to a smooth mech midgame. By using secrets you can play Fiery War Axe, Totem Golem and a little thinning.

This deck Is actually tier 1 when built and played correctly. Check hs replay for the actual correct build. Noble sacrifice completely plays against the decks purpose, and should be cut for a hidden wisdom. Mechano eggs are also cut for countless ashmore and Harrison. Besides that, trump didn't exactly play the deck to its strengths, such as hero powering and playing noble sacrifice with redemption up for example. Its sad because I see a lot of people discouraged from playing this deck just from this video.

20:08 is how the game works. It remembers when the initial card was summoned to the board even after transforming. This is exactly why you can Cube Anub'Arak, then play Anub'Arak again, polymorph him then kill the cube and summon sheeps instead of Anub'Araks.

With redemption, yes with auto defense matrix, not really. Auto defense matrix only triggers on the minion that was originally attacked. Attack an 8/8, triggers noble sacrifice, triggers auto defense matrix, 8/8 gains divine shield. It might have been a bug or order dependent but that is what I have encountered

That Mage almost threw. The play @11:11 was the tipping point. Mage likely could have had lethal if he Conjured Trump's taunt/lifesteal minion and went face. I guess he didn't know you could target enemy units?

It's amazing how these streamers get so lucky, even when making a mistake. 1. At 3:38, he should have hit the his 1/1 into the 7/7 dragon, so it will die next turn hitting 6/6 Tirion. 2. At 4:31, he should have kill is 1/1 into the 5/2 dragon, so Redemption can revive his dragon. I make these mistakes many time, and I usually lose because of it.

I hate these kind of decks that rely on high roll draw order. One game my starting hand was Tirion, Endless Army, Whelp for 6. I obviously mulligan it all, get Wargear, Wargear, secret. Turn 1 topdeck secret. Turn 2 topdeck another secret. Are you kidding me, this game is rigged or something?
