Technically, since Space Godzilla started as a bunch of mineral-infused cells, there's a solid argument for him being a conscious Von Neumann Mass. Self-replicating silicate swarm, slowly converting the world to more and more crystals, all interconnected. It's a Grey Goo scenario that happens to piggyback on Godzilla's genetic template. Tell me that wouldn't be a terrifying way to reimagine him...

This probably wouldnt count, but there is another fairly popularized version of mechagodzilla. Ohrai Noriyoshi made a poster for godzilla vs mechagodzilla II, and had this design which was a finalized concept. (and is such referred to as Ohrai Noriyoshi's Mechagodzilla) its personally one of my favorites, and i like it far better than the mechagodzilla 1993 we got. it has even recieved a premium bandai figure

The only thing i disagree with is that how low space godzilla is, I think it's better then RPO and Showa because of the unique crystal gimmick and the amazing colors, i think it's beam is way better then every mecha other then 2021. It has a way cooler design as well. Anyways thats my paragraph I made cuz i slightly disagreed with someone on the internet. Amazing list though. And yes I think MG21 is better then showa.

8:48 my wife and I just watched Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla (the Japanese version) the other day, and we had this discussion as well. It makes sense for the similarities between SpaceGodzilla and Biollante since they’re essentially modified clones of Heisei Godzilla, but we were wondering if the crest SpaceGodzilla has was inspired by Battra. If so, that too would make sense since Battra and Mothra are twins. I realize this is a Mechagodzilla video, but I can’t help but add this here since it was brought up. As I write this I wonder if SpaceGodzilla is 2 parts Godzilla, 1 part Mothra, 1 part Battra, and (x) part(s) space crystal(s).

Was genuinely surprised that Showa wasn't top with how highly you spoke of it throughout the video, but Kiryu is definitely the bar for design, functionality and also from a filmmaking perspective the best to work with. My only hope is we see a version of him in the Monsterverse. That would also scratch the itch that so many people seem to have with a Pacific Rim crossover.

I think you missed the detail in Godzilla vs King Ghodorah because biollante still existed because they never prevented Godzilla from existing, they only made king ghidorah. When they got back to normal time everyone in normal time still remembered Godzilla and they really shouldn’t have if Godzilla didn’t exist, and when the nuclear sub went to make Godzilla we see that Godzilla already existed. In the movie they tried to retcon the previous two movies but they failed to do so, so biollante still existed in the timeline

Kiriyu in my opinion is the saddest Kaiju in the list he was built off the original 1954 god who came back to earth with not knowing what is really happening. After almost killing Godzilla,the Godzilla in that time line makes one last roar eventually giving him flashbacks of when he’s him self was Godzilla eventually turning on humanity. Quick fun fact the red eyes were like that to resemble blood and the the sequel he sacrifices himself to save the big g finally resting to heaven, guess they wanted to bring back the ghost Godzilla idea

MV Mechagodzilla I know you said you haven’t seen too many King Kong movies aside from the MonsterVerse films, so I don’t know what the chances of you making a ranking video for him are, but if you do, I want to let you know that he also appeared in Ready Player One (and is pretty big too, comparable in size to Legendary Kong), and The Lego Batman Movie, although his role in that one is kind of questionable to me. If you ever decide to rank Kong’s designs (after doing some research of course), you should include those two.
