Another thing to note during the speed section was the wing shape of the two. Generally, birds that have longer wings and pointed ends are built for flying long distances at high speed, while shorter wings with rounded ends are build for ducking and weaving through trees. As well as this, the soaring wings of rodan also require far less energy to stay in the air for longer due to their shape, a good example is an Albatross or Falcon.

You’re right. Because flight is more expensive than most people think. Not only in the energy you use, but the fact that you’ve got to develop wings and several internal and external systems that drive them. Rodan needs the flight capabilities of a fighter jet, which requires speed, distance, and maneuverability.

Not to mention the holes in Camazotz’s wings require it to use much more energy and effort to stay in flight. If his holes got any bigger, he may just fall out of the sky entirely. Just like what happened to the Red Death from the first HTTYD film

Goji Center has got to be one if not the best channel about kaiju, dinosaurs, and carnage on this platform. He deserves way more than 1 million Edit: I’ve been reading some comments and some of y’all didn’t understand my references. For the carnage part I meant the carnage found inside the 10 ways to die series and Monster Face Off (the deaths). As for the educational part I meant the scenes where Goji talked about science info such as the bone structure of T. rex or the reason herbivores eat so much. This comment praises this channel for its content related to kaiju, dinosaurs, and science. I love the detail that when they fought in the cave, the sonic screech is more powerful because it's beings used in an enclosed space. The sound reverberates off the cave walls, making it focus in one direction. God i love that attention to detail!

The team did one hell of a job here! There are so many great details in this fight! You can barely hear Camazotz's screech because of how deafening it is along with Rodan for some parts of the fight because of his mach levels, Rodan falling from the sky is a great reference to Godzilla: King Of The Monsters when Godzilla was falling from the sky, you can even hear parts of Rodan's theme, the music fit in every single bit of the fight, when Camazotz screeched at Rodan in the cave, the blast was more powerful because of the cave, reverberating through the walls of the cave into one direction, making Rodan get flown off like paper in the wind, just like Rodan did to Isla De Mara as he flew through and much more! Man, you and the others cooked like an Alpha Titan, Goji Center!

Mind, this is KOTM Rodan of whose background we don’t even know much about. This analysis was a fair ‘dry’ 1v1 which, to the fullest extent of Camazotz’ cunning, wouldn’t have had let happen anyway. I’m for the creative notion that Rodan deserves his ‘redemption’ arc and supercharge-upgrade that’ll bring him up there with Godzilla and Mothra (and would manage to give Ghidorah a tougher time if still alive). So yes, with some good storytelling and movie-direction, Rodan soaking up in a volcano or catching a solar flare when Camazotz thinks he’s got him beat doesn’t sound far off on a creative scale. For Camazotz, no better way to add to the weight of the drama than giving him all his advantages: its bat legion and ‘shifting’ the movement of storms, the latter potentially dulling full effectiveness of Rodan’s lava ‘armor.’ If we ever get this kind of movie, it’d be so badass.

The choreography was excellent- Rodan's wrecklessness gets exploited and Camazotz lures him in where he can be manhandled, but he's durable enough to resist the attack until Camazotz's confidence leads them to make the mistake of going in for the kill, and Rodan is able to fight freely and use his superior speed to win. Camazotz's intellect, manueverability and weaponry can take Rodan to the limit, but Rodan can tough it out long enough for the situation to turn. Rodan's wrecklessness is based on his toughness- he will test that toughness against all odds until it's obvious he can't win.

Although I was sad to see Camazotz lose, you gave him a lot of props, and made him look awesome! I really hope we can get to see him in the actual movies one day. Question for GojiCenter: one of the big problems that you found with Camazotz was the holes in his wings. If he didn’t have those holes, and his wings and body were scaled up to a similar size to Rodan, how do you think that would’ve impacted the fight? Do you think that would’ve changed the result, or would it have just made things harder for Rodan, with him still ultimately winning?

​​@@laurabeattie1665 Yeah but the thing is that flying creatures such as Camazotz wouldn't be able to use its full strength effectively against an opponent like Rodan, which can not only fly gracefully but also move faster in any direction it wants. Plus, another thing is that Rodan's thunderclap, if it was used close to Camazotz, would've probably paralized it or at least stun it for a short while. This is because during Camazotz vs Kong, one of the jets was able to launch a sonic boom directly in Camazotz face and caused it to be stunned and allowed Kong to gain the upperhand and win.

Kamazotz had great terrain advantage in a close enviroment, but if the battle had taken place in a wider enviroment for the whole time, say for example on skull island skies during a storm, Rodan would have had a much easier time and many more possibilities to reach full speed, generating more powerful impacts. What happened at the end would happen way sooner

Extremely intelligent of Rodan to use its barrel roll to mitigate the effects of the screech of Camazotz leaving an open space to further injure camazotz wing rendering him useless due to the similar nature to birds, Rodan can easily take down non flying targets, shown from how Peregin falcons use their speed to strike
