(1) traction control : wider tires increases stability not grip, grip is depended on tire's compund (stiffness or softness), "bada tire chipak ke chalata hai? Tire contact to ground is totally depended on preload adjustment of rear shock absorber (soft adjustment makes tire to stitch to surface and stiff suspension makes tire to bounce off in case of public road as public road are never flat) (2) Handling : yes you are totally right narrow tires are easy to maneuver because increase in tire width causes increase lean angel 👍 (3) Resistance : yes, wider tires have increased friction due to great contact patch but i dont have clue for clutch wala theory because its related to momentum (4) Engine : you are right, wider tires have increased stability thats why they are used in half litre or litre class motorcycles btw its totally depended what company is designing its for, eg. Aprilia RF has 190 and Panigale has 200 with same class engine (5) Cost : ..... (6) Stability : ek scene ko kat kat ke bata rahe ho, as stability handling and cornering are on same page (refer to point 2) (7) cornering (refer to point 1 and then 2) (8) acceleration and braking : partially right on acceleration but braking means stopping the momentum of object, momentum is based upon weight and motorcycles with wider tire are heavy thats why it takes lot of effort to stop them, but luckly those motorcycles are equipped with better brakes system so they stops even faster. (9) Road condition : ...... Lastly my advice Stick to your OEM tire size but you can change between brands for change in tire compound Stiff compound gives you more mileage less grip and they last longer, gives you more kms Soft compund gives your more grip a little bit less mileage and they do not last longer, less kms If you forcefully puts larger tire on narrow rim It will change its tire shape and profile because it will squeeze in rim but not perfectly fit. Additionally it will add unsprung weight on your motorcycle making your shocks to worker harder and damaging it permanently over time.

I bought a new SP 125 BS6 version. Rear tyre was 80/100-18. I changed it to 90/100-18 (ceat mileage). Now road grip is awesome and mileage has dropped by 2 kms per litre in city. But absolutely feeling safe now.

@@aniketsharma3154 Front tyre is (80/100-18) and the rear tyre is (100/90-18). Before 2 months I made these changes. And I felt slightly increased in height of my bike from the rear side, may be half an inch, but now I feel more comfortable during riding. There is no change in mileage in 125 cc because if we think there is extra load by big tyre, the same time speed of the bike increases due to big size of rear tyre . If wide rear tyre used in 100 cc bikes there may be change in mileage due to undermine engine power. Even I don't feel any change in pickup of my bike but it gives me fast move due to big size of tyre. Totally I can say , it was mine good choice .

I have a RayZR bs6 scooter, in that the rear wheel tyre is so slippery while driving on a wet road, it easily slips so when l check the tyre l can see at the centre face there is no treat at all. So, my question is, is it ok to do retreading at the centre face, and if so, should that be perform by deflating the tyre or can it be done even if its not deflated?

The best will be 100/80 section...it will maintain the circumference as the stock setup only width of tire but in case of 90/90 section circumference will increase a little bit as a result there will be a marginal error in the speedometer and also that will not provide road grip as equal as 100 section

Sure, you can upgrade 10mm more than previously. No problem. I am also using 90mm front and 110 rear in my hero ignitor. Which was more than 10 mm from company fitted.

Hello friend, how is you there. I have a Honda xblade with company specified tyres detail Front :-80/100-17, Rear :- 130/70-17 Both MRF Zapper tyres. Due to unavailability, I have attached tyres with below specs Front :-90/100-17, Rear :- 140/70-17 (MRF Mogrip tyres) MRF tyres. My bike is of 160Cc segment with front disk brake and rear drum brake. Suggest me am I going to face any issues or challenges sooner or later. Thanks in advance for your response
