"Awww, Steiner fall down go boom!" Hands down my favorite line from the MW series. My dad, little brother and I played this game religiously. Even went so far as to pick our own Houses. My dad and i were both hard-core Clanners. I, clan wolf and him being Ghost Bear. But my little brother was all for inner-sphere. He went with house Steiner, and from that point on whenever we got onto each others nerves or hed get in trouble id say that line and it never failed to piss him off. But then he got older and read the books now and now i cant say anything because he knows the clans got their asses whooped. Was fun while it lasted though.

On the final mission, you can't get your teammates to enter the repair stations, but there was time to maneuver them in front of the repair station, have them shut down, and then shove them into the repair station, start them up, shut them down, and the repair station repaired them as if they'd entered voluntarily. Next, after destroying the ship, I would immediately power down. This prevented the game from force-marching my mech towards the last enemy, and allowed me to pick my own location to meet him. With lots of cover, I blasted him down as he approached.

Ian Jesari was right. His way was to forgive family members who act upon their civic duties, and his father did that but he was just doing his job. Even the first transmission sent to Ian Jesari was meant as both an apology, and a goodbye, because his Father and the unit his Father was leading had to act quickly to intercept the Steiner Mechs attacking the Palace. Ian Jesari already forgave his Father's Mistake a long time ago, and that shows he deserves to be the leader of the Resistance. His other way which I also consider the right thing, was to bring swift judgement on the Scoundrels who Kill his Father and rest of the Family, including those who willfully helped them and didn't have a conscience. William Jesari admitted he did it for the money. And he even said to Ian, "Oh, come on brother! Don't tell me you think this Ludicrous Insurrection is worth dying for!" Ian still spoke the truth saying, "Yes, William it is! But when I get to you it's going to be you who is dead."

This is exactly how comrades should feel... They should feel happy for each other when something good happens for one of their own,and sad with them when something bad happens for one of their own. True allies are this way. And when they're up against someone as ruthless as the Steiner Regime and they end up getting word that someone working for the Terrorists does something as terrible to the Uncle of their Commander, they should all be angry at the Scoundrel who did. Angry enough to act upon an old saying in the Holy Bible, written in the book of Exodus: "An Eye For An Eye." Justice should be done swiftly on terrorists who mock their enemies after they kill them while their enemies are unarmed.

It has it's Good points and Difficult Points, like overheating a little bit. So I expect this coming Summer time to be a stubborn time. I also have some interesting news. Suidobashi.com is a website in Japan that sells Real Mechs. It began it's sale in 2017 and is now a massive business. However, there's still only one style of it called the Kuratas, and its tonnage is collossal and it has it's own cockpit. Every Target is seen by an onboard camera that sees outside the torso. But it only takes Foam Ballistic Air Projectiles. Still, being a Mech even Civilians can Pilot, it just takes Diesel Fuel. Each one has a custom paint job of anything you'd want. It's even Controllable by a home device like a Smartphone. The Industrial Weight Starter pack has all the Equipment and weapons. But very Heavy equipment. Most likely, only the Super Rich can afford it. Which is disappointing.

So clearly inspired by Robot Jocks, my god the nostalgia is overwhelming right now.

Fun fact; they used to have a simulator pod using this game that was an entire cockpit that actually rumbled, had motion, and would dump heat on you when you ran your reactor too hot

I would literally buy that just for this game.

I never understood why in the opening scene the mechs were so weak. A few missles took her mech out?

In my opinion, the best way to beat alpine mission 3 - pack your catapult only with LRMs, approach them in the front (950-1000 meters), and just destroy dropship with your missiles

Can someone tell me how I can get this working on windows 10 when I have the two disc set from like 10 years ago?
@Grahamc225 жыл бұрын
I've been trying all day today to get it working. Turns out there used to be something on the discs that, once you had the game installed, it had to have the disc in the drive in order to play it, but Microsoft removed this feature entirely from Windows 10, and disabled it on windows 7 and 8, because there was a loophole for piracy or something, on top of security holes for viruses. So on windows 10, there is no possible way of playing it if you have the disc. They're now just fancy paper weights. The only way to play vengeance is to somehow get a virtual iso crack or something.

Dual boot to on old windows version. Or possibly WINE if you are a programmer.

I still have gaming magazines from the release, detailing everything and how shit gets real once you get a Mauler. First played the Demo from December 1999 you only could play Lunar 1 and 2 on SP campaign. And you could only pick Awesome, Catapult, Raven or Uziel in quick play. MWO and MW5 dont hold a candle to MW3 and MW4 V,M,BN expansións.
