They don’t make games like this anymore :/ This intro, the music, the words of that veteran, the footage in the background. Brings me to tears every time. What do war games offer now? Rainbow camos and quickscoping. But the trailer had Eminem rapping in it so it’s got to be good right? Damn, take me back to the old days:(

it's strange how we all seem to feel the same thing when we hear these songs and see these intros/cutscenes, the nostalgia of childhood, of playing after school with our faters or brothers, of the soundtracks, characters and maps, the memory of how difficult the missions were and how magical these times were, these are things that unites us. It's hard to express the feelings, even more so with English not being my language, but I think you guys can understand what I wanted to say.

Medal of Honor alwayd felt a lot more immersive You feel like an actual soldier fighting in the war. You weren't invincible, you weren't a hero, you were just an average soldier, given tasks to complete from the superior officers. Of course call of duty was kinda the same, but with the regeneration(which cod1 didn't have) you actually feel kinda invincible. You don't need to find medkits to heal yourself. You just get to cover and you're A-Okay. And some moments in call of duty are a bit over the top. While medal of honor doesn't go over the top "Hollywood-esque" with their campaigns

I highly suggest people actually research the Raid on St. Nazaire. It is quite literally one of the most outlandish plans ever put into play during battle. Oddly enough, it worked. It quite literally involved ramming a ship into U-Boat pens and blowing the whole works up. There was a documentary about it on KZbin I watched a couple of years ago as well, but I can't seem to find it now.
@aaronarce77892 жыл бұрын
Look up commando raid on St. Nazaire it’s a 50 min doc, the Campbeltown was rigged w 2 tons of explosives and didn’t go off until the next morning after many commandos were captured.

I do believe it was Jeremy Clarkson that presented that documentary, perhaps that'll help you find it. As you said it begars belief what those men actually did.
