This was one of the things they really did right in MOH: WF. It was unfortunate the game flopped, because the gun handling in multiplayer, the visuals, the sound design, all really good.

I honestly found the game VERY well done. I was very confused as to why most people didn't like it; even the guy at GameStop said not to buy it, and good thing I didn't listen.

That's just what happens when big name titles like CoD and Battlefield rule the FPS genre. It's hard to try something new when everyone assumes it will fail due to not being under the big name branding.
@annekedebruyn7797
@annekedebruyn7797 2 жыл бұрын
@@dasschadenfreude7333 I know your comment is from five years ago but I still wanted to say that Medal of Honor wasn't something new. The franchise is older than Battlefield (2002) AND Call of Duty (2003.) The franchise had a difficult time because people wanted primarily a multi player game at point of release. While older Medal of Honor titles had barebones multiplayer experiences before and were somewhat populair, the main thing was always the story for MoH. But the latest two games of MoH had that odd in the middle gameplay where the focus wasn't on neither resulting in OG MoH backlash because the singleplayer wasn't up to par and newer players from CoD and BF because the MP experience wasnt there either.

As a vet I love MoH 2010 and MoH Warfighter, as a gamer I was a little let down with warfighter. It was buggy and the graphics could have been better and smoother. But the attention to detail I love. I wish the multiplayer servers were more like Battlefields and could be set up differently by the host. I wish more FPS developers would be as dedicated as the ones that made these games. These guys listened and watched operators and made a game for both PC and consoles that was realistic and fun. Myself and other vets hope they make another one and dont let EA push a crazy release date so they can make it right.

Alberto Hinojosa I guess they went way too far with some aspects. I guess with some gun play. Missions. Also a bunch of SEALs where docked pay for a month. So a lot of stuff was of concern. Also too much realism makes a game not to fun..... Me as a gamer. Its not much fun to play a game that is 100% realistic. Remember games are for fun.

One of the few things I didn't like in the single player experience is clearing rooms with your team or in this case clearing rooms with your team watching you! The purpose of clearing a room with a team is you cover your sector and take out whatever is in your zone and entrust your life that your team takes care of theirs. In this game, you don't do that. You have to take out EVERYONE in the room, going all around taking out guys where your team mates should be doing it for you. That took me out of the immersion.

i CANNOT BELIEVE Medal Of Honor was such a loathed and reviled franchise. it was easily the best, most realistic, authentic FPS game ive ever played. sure, i know there are more realistic games like Operation Flashpoint and Arma (never played Arma, so i may be wrong here), but i mean 'realistic' as compared to games like Call Of Duty and Battlefield. especially the first MoH, that game was incredible. i just cannot fathom why people HATED MoH so much. it was infinitely better than any CoD: Modern Warfare, yet the franchise was irrevocably scrapped after making only 2 games. can someone clue me in? is it cuz of multiplayer or something (ive never once played an online game)?

Thats a brilliant point I had never considered; the military only uses ball ammo. 9mm vs .45, .45 makes a lot more sense.
