After looking up the full version, I can see why Einsenhower decided to be more optimistic in the second half of the speech. No sense in scaring these kids to death right before they have to go headfirst into the teeth of the mighty Atlantic Wall. But still...I kind of like this clipped version. It gives more of a sense of urgency, like the fate of the world is still very much in the balance and either side could win.

@guardian085275 жыл бұрын
Rising Sun was okay but it was rushed. It lacked some polishing and sometimes (a lot of the times) the enemies have really bad aiming abilities unless you are right in front of them. Honestly the bastards with the Samurai swords and the banzai bum rushers are the ones that do the most damage. They can kill you in 3 or 4 hits! Also, your allies are horrendously bad shooters. They make Storm Troopers look like Lee Harvey Oswald! European Assault was an improvement but I didn't like the "paper target" look of the enemies. In this game the characters have a lot more texture and in EA they just sprint at you spraying bullets all over the place and they hit you without really aiming. Vanguard was a little bit better but not as memorable from the other games for me. I think I was starting to burn out on the series at this point. LOVE the sound of the MP-40 in Vanguard and EA! That's one thing that they had over Frontline. The MP-40 in this game has crazy muzzle climb and it takes a lot of practice in mastering. Chances are you will burn up a few magazines before you get the aiming physics down.
