FACT: The vast majority of doctors don't have a clue about the side effects of the medications they prescribe, especially if the side effects are non-typical. And they don't even have a willingness to investigate whether a non-typical side effect is in fact due to a medication. It's too much trouble for them.

They won’t talk about how to take it, why they selected it, what other options there are, or potential side effects. They won’t say how long you have to take it for (usually ‘for life’).

Thanks for the information. I’m on beta blockers for my heart. No issues with getting up and active it’s the ejaculation where I’m falling short. If on my own I can get there but with my wife I get close but no finish. It’s very frustrating but at least I’m able to keep somewhat active in the bedroom.

I have been taking medication for high blood pressure for 12 years. After the covid vaccination my blood pressure started to drop and is now at a normal level without medication. I have not taken blood pressure medication for 1 year. Can previous intake of blood pressure medication have an effect on the ability to achieve an erection after stopping the medication? And if so, for how long?

I can relate. My hubby is on multiple meds for hbp and we have not had sex in years. He has given up. I don’t like making him feel bad but the sexual frustration is difficult when we used to have a great sex life😢

Another one is Sinemet (Carbidopa Levodopa) for Parkinson's. I found that out on the GoodRx website. I suffered through years of Finasteride and Tamsulosin. I opted for Prostate Artery Embolization for my very large prostate and am happy with the results - no more Tamsulosin or Finasteride. I take Sinemet for my Parkinson's. I delay my morning dose of that until after I have sex, always in the morning when T levels are higher.

Lmao, that's the only time I would consider it cute that a penis plushy was held by a woman who is a doctor and speaking medically about ED. I've noticed that Adderall also affects my erections after using it frequently for several months. I'm also on finasteride. However, I still get sexually aroused (even more so recently) and I do get erections but it's hard to maintain them. I'm hoping to lose more weight, improve my cardio, and wait until my dermatologist puts me to use finasteride a few times a week instead of daily. Then I aim to get off Adderall because I've managed to do well in the past without it.
