A fun video I made with my dogs. Which are both Weimaraners who I love to pieces. I got the story idea from a friend who told me I should make a video about these fun facts, so here it is. I hope you enjoy.

I had “Spencer Von Cost A lot” for 16 years, best dog, best friend, best companion ever. He was Velcro, he worked in the yard, taught me how to hunt birds, always warmed up the truck and never missed a crumb, I’d gladly shave off a few of my years to have a couple more with him.

I had a female, she grew up with me. Was the best dog any person or family could ask for. Such a smart athletic dog, please do not get one if you can’t let them get their energy out. I’ll never forget her, just watching this video made me tear up. The love these dogs will show you in indescribable, I think about her daily. What a great breed of dogs.

Ten more reasons not to get a Weimaraner: 1) You will wear out at least 15 digital cameras or smart phones taking so many pictures. 2) Your spouse will get jealous because the dog is getting more attention than they are. 3) You will drive your friends and family absolutely crazy taking about your sweetie all the time. 4) Your life will be ruled by the dog and you will adjust everything to cater to it. 5) You will not want to leave the house as you will experience more separation anxiety than the dog. 6) Your budget will be stretched to the limit due to massive purchases of toys, treats, collars, bedding, etc. One serious warning sign is that all the clerks at PetSmart know your name by heart. 7) You will develop the habit of waking very slowly and carefully through the house - especially at night - in case the dog might be under foot. 8) You will wear yourself out by all the walks in the park. 9) If the dog is sick or recovering from a visit to the vet, you will not get any sleep as you will stay up all night comforting your buddy. 10) When it's time to say goodbye after they have lived a long and happy life, there will be a big hole left in your heart.

Love it..My college advisor had a Weimarner. She was beautiful, loving and intriguing. We'd go on long horseback rides and the dog was thrilled. Especially we ran through the rural paths and farms of Iowa.

normally it's the owner's fault if the dog bites not the dog its the same with nearly every type of dog my family adopted a rescue bichon frise and when we fist got him he was skinny as hell and was biting nearly every time you tried to stroke him he was left tied up, up the mountain and was beaten before that and after a while getting used to use he was really a nice dog and jealous it's not the dogs fault its the owners so the next time you see a bad dog don't think it's the dogs fault its the owners so the next time a dog has to be put down then maybe instead the owner should be put down instead.

I'm with my second Weim, the first adopted me when she ran out of a corn field. She was not chipped and no one responded to the ad I placed. I learned to love the breed. Sandy was a close friend cancer got her after 5 years. My current Weim is a rescue older female, chlo, this will be our fifth Cristmas together she is 10. Each had similar character traits but each had her own personality. I think the breed is the perfect four leggged friend, loyal, brave and surprising in the things they learn and do.

I've had weims for a long time...i lost my little girl Sadie Bella at over 17....I always resque them...now I have 2. one 11 one 6....I can't even tell you how smart and sweet they are.... unbelievable dogs......I don't think I'll ever not have one.....they just love so much..... some times a lil nutty but such a joy......try to adopt.....they are such sweet dogs and so full of love it always amazes me....great video....... so many beautiful dogs out there for adoption,not just weims....I think every child benefit's from a dog.....pure love....

We have a 9 week old Blue Weim and she is absolutely amazing! She gets a long with all 3 of our young kids and other people very well. She is a little hesitant near barky dogs which I don't blame her! I am looking forward to doing some fun hiking on the bluffs of the Mississippi!

I'm a service man, they come across as Barky, and agile,, and that stare, seems aggressive, once introduced by home owners, I've had one sitting on my lap, while working on furnace, home owner told them to come, and this dog was was like f u to the homeowner, I'm hanging out with my new friend lol. Any dog is only as good as its owner. This is a great breed.

Lost my dear Cleo a yea ago and I still get teary when I see one. Ive had other breeds and they were great, but there's something about Weims. I'd love to have another one, but don't know if I could bear the grief of losing one again. Every one I meet looks at me like he/she knows me. My grandma's maiden name was Weimar and I often wonder if there's something in my genes that makes us familiar to one another. Its almost spooky.

I lost my Frida year and a half ago. There is no day that I don't remember my sweetheart. We still miss her so bad. I do want to have another Weim but I cant accept the idea that she will not be Frida.

Not only do they steal your heart - they do so before you even get home from the breeders. We were so in love with our dogs! Like no other dogs ever. They do require their owner be at least a bit smarter than they are - which means you need to be nearly a genius because the dogs are so intelligent. They do require some time every day outside running free.We had some land so ours got to run in the yard but we also had a camp very near Lake Erie right on Elk Creek, she would swim and splash in the creek and swim and swim - hours til she was exhausted.Another couple who camped there also had a weim so they would just play together all day - mostly in the water. Not a fan of the hair dryer though but she was not getting inside soaking wet. Oh - the stare. We had a glass table top - while we ate she would go under the table and just stare at us.Absolutely the very best dogs ever.

I don't ever see a time for the rest of my life I won't have a Weim in my life. We have two right now, and it looks like we are going to breed our female soon and keep one of the PUPPIES!!! for our selves. Which will be super cool. I can't wait. I am on Weim 2 and 3, my first was my girl Frog ( Smokey and the Bandit). My wife got her for me as a pre deployment birtday present. She was my best friend and I miss her everyday. We got our current 2 brother and sister pair as rescues, through the Grayter Good. They started life in Lousiana as strays and found their way to our hearts. Perfect for in the field on the hunt or cuddles in bed.

I use to have weimeraner mix with European doberman. It was a beautiful puppy , with grayish blue eyes. And with a brownish gray color. But he got high and muscular ,with a large wide head and a large wide narrow mouth. He was gorgeous and smart , protective with his family. His mother was a Hugh weimeraner and his father was a Hugh European doberman from Europe. Both parents are from Europe and excellent all around versatile protectors and family. And also hunting dogs as well.
