Today I completed the HEMATOLOGY playlist and feeling very Happy. Want to say that your dedication is truly appreciable, inspite of saying I had told this before in previous videos, you spend your time in repeating all the things again. So that we as a students retain, this kind of thing I never saw in any other channel. You are a genuine teacher, who cares about your students. HATS OFF TO YOU.GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS. AMEEN

i am suspected for MGUS. very rare blood condition. i throw protein in my urine, my crea is maintained at 94.7 umol/L, however my blood hemoglobin is as low as 97 g/L, i do epoeitin shots, my renal biopsy result -theres only 4% damage to my nephrons, kidney is still well and healthy - responds to ace inhibitor medication, still awaiting for Electron Microscopy result and lab works for Serum Protein Electrophoresis. I am a former nurse, i am amaze with this kind of condition however also unfortunate for suspecting to have one. The Only thing that i Hold on is Prayer and faith to our God. He hold our life. We surrender everything to HIM in Jesus Mighty name.

Nice videos, very helpfull for listening while tired of reading :) . One note for the risk of malignancy: if its 1% per year that means its increasing by 1% probably? Which means that each year more and more of MGUS will become MM ( in 10 years all of the MGUS patiants will have 10% risk) correct me if I interpret this wrong.

Hi, I'm new to your channel and I wanted to know if you have any videos where you discuss smoldering multiple myeloma that are just as clear as this one. I trying to learn as much as I can about the disease plus the information you provided in this video is invaluable and I trying to gauge the probability of moving to multiple myeloma especially stupid doctor claimed 20% plasma cells in bone marrow meant MGUS. I take any suggestion you can provide. Desperate!

I’m so confused. Not by the video, but by my dad’s test results. He had NH lymphoma in the 90’s, but was in remission in early 2000 til now. He had some recent tests... there was no M spike observed, which I’m hearing is good, but his free kappa and free lambda light were way high... why would that be?
@MedicosisPerfectionalis5 жыл бұрын
It’s possible...No test is 100% accurate...I think you need to talk to your doctor (or may be repeat the tests). Disclaimer: I am not a doctor so I don’t give medical advice...Please talk to your doctor.

My mother is having Kappa normal but lamda more than 100. But she is not having any other problem or symptoms. She looks perfectly ok to me. Her bone marrow test result will come in 10 days. Her X ray of skull and other parts look fine. Her age is 55. Is she suffering from multiple myeloma?? I mean if lamda Kappa ratio is not even then that means its 100℅ that patient is suffering from MM???
Hi, I have a question for your, kappa is a little high And the ratio also imunofixtion is not detected no M spike and every thing else is normal and the doctor says I have MGUS can tell me if that’s correct?
@MedicosisPerfectionalis5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question...I am so sorry that you are going through this, but I cannot give you a diagnosis over the internet, it’s impossible, so please talk to your doctor, and seek a second opinion if you wish.

At 3.50 you say that over 10 years your chances are 10% ---I think that is incorrect Each year is 1% and not cumulative per individual Check your rules on statistics

My GP said exactly the same thing. It’s always just one percent per year DESPITE the passage of time.😊
