Knight Hospitallers and Tuetunic orders still exits today, but obvious they don't fight on horseback nowadays. Templars got wiped out in the 14th century with the accusation of heresy, which was made up by Philip IV who was in debt to the Templars.

There's a giant flaw in the family system. You start with about only two family members, the other generals don't count. You can basically kill a faction by taking out the heir and the king.

I'm assuming that the turks that start out early in the game are supposed to be the seljuks, but it looks like Osman arrives as a hero later in the game, meaning that they "become" the ottomans.

I'm not saying it's not the Georgian flag but they could have adopted that symbol from the Principality of Antioch, just like the double eagles on the Serbian flag were adopted from the Byzantine Empire.

Hashishin is the arabic word for someone who uses hashish. English corrupted the word to assassin because the Hashishin(Assassins) used hashish to get them "in the zone" before assassinating someone.

@stmorebenzcabalce He didn't. They show up and attack Constantinople part way through the campaign. It is suppose to reflect how the Doge of Venice hijacked the 4th Crusade and sacked Constantinople before the crusade actually went to the Holy Land.

Yes, templars are an order they go in wars only if nescesary but usually they guard christian cities and are sometimes found camping in the holy lands.

So if I get it right the special units are Kingdom of Jerusalem: Richard the Lionheart & the Constable of Jerusalem & the Marshall of the Templars Principality of Antioch: Philip the Chivalrous & the Cannons of the Holy Sepulcher & the Mrshall of the Hospitallers Byzantine Empire:Emperor Manuel & Greek fire Turks:Nur-ad-din & Osman & hashshashin Egypt:Saladin & hashshashin Well I think Greek fire can overcome everyone of these units if you use it wisely. My opinion only!

I thought about things recently. they did the ancient times with the romans , the medieval ages, than two games set in the 18th century.(napoleon total war) Next they'll have to do world war 1 and 2? If they do make world war 1 and 2 games , I can't wait to see what the tanks will look like and how they will be used.

get an army with a general in it. make sure it has 8 units not including the general. go the to the generals info page and click: join crusade at the bottom of the screen. if there isnt a crusade make the pope have one

The Expansion was really a let down for me cause I waited so long to get it and when I finally did it just didn't feel right, the units felt different and the new factions don't feel complete

u can set the army units to half in game options i got them on huge 120 soldiers per unit and i don't lagg a bit not even with reinforcements

Because, after cannons became mass produced medieval city walls became obsolete. Why would someone build a wall around the city (which may take years) when it can be breached in minutes? -_-

The Principality of Antioch were a real Crusader State. I'm not saying this symbol is not on the Georgian flag, I know the Georgians use it but this symbol is no doubt associated with all of Christendom.

The crusades were a set of wars in the middle east, which not everyone on either side agreed with, where faiths colided with war, spawning a deadly quadmire in which nither side could escape, and had unique leaders which were at war with each other. Does that sound familer today?(Iraq war for anyone who didn't get that) P.S Isn't the Hashashim sound like Assassins Creed?

Sort of, the Tuetunic order were founded by German Knights that arrived the Holyland after the death of their leader, Ferderick Barbarassa. Tuetunic order were of course more famous for their actions in the Baltic than the Holyland because by the time they'd formed the Crusaders were almost chased out of the Holyland by the muslims.

@nicros96 if u prefer eye candy graphics than gameplay than medieval. but RTW has better gameplay overall. it also depends which timelines interest you. do you like playing during the roman era that still has old culture such as greeks and carthaginians or do u like a more modern era with england and french..knights etc

Quick Questions: I have Medieval: Total War 2 and the only single player option is the Grand campaign. Is there a grand Campaign in Kingdoms, or is it just these four. Also, is there any significant difference in game play mechanics (i.e. battles) or is the only real difference the campaign(s).

yes your cpu will handle this game, mine is 3 years old with 2 gigs of ram, nvidia 7600 GT graphics card, and windows xp, so im pretty sure you can run it smoothly

hey can someone help me with this problem i have the regular medieval 2 works perfectly no lag at all just cant exceed 4000 units on the battlefield but when i installed one of the other add on campaigns like crusader campaign and i begin to play it lags so bad its not even funny and im confused on why the reg works perfectly and the add ons dont

No templars are guard like kinghts there not war soldiers but they can go in war if needed they are found guarding nobles and cities and found camping in the holy lands
