I've travelled to Chamonix twice before with the intention of climbing the surprisingly deadly Mont Blanc. On both previous attempts we got rained out and spent our time under a gloomy sky. This time however, the sun shone brightly on Chamonix and the surrounding Mont Blanc Massif. After failing to accurately research our trip we found ourselves driving a poorly equipped 2 wheel drive rental up to Col De Voza. From there we took the "normal route" or the Goûter Route up to Tête Rousse. Our original plan was to stay at a different refuge but nothing we kinda planned really worked out. So we improvised all the way to the summit which according to recent news has shrunk by 3 feet. Thank goodness, I'm not sure Christof could have handled another 3 feet.

Why did watching this make me feel like it could be something I could accomplish next week with my non-existent mountaineering experience...

when you're on that summit ridge, roped together with walking poles rather than ice axes, I guess the idea is that if one of you goes, the other goes too? Thanks for posting, when I did it there were no portable video cameras.

So glad you finally made it. Also good to see that you are meeting the usual Mediocre standards for research, trip preparation, and starting time.

When this showed up in my feed I immediately felt like a kid getting an early Xmas present. The fact this was accomplish in such a short timeframe across two continents and an ocean makes it all the more impressive. Great job boys and thanks for taking us along!

Dude, this has to be best one yet. You did great job of filming the whole way. Start to about 8 minutes you knew y'all were heading up and had goal to reach. The last part you did amazing job of showing how steep itt was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's been a while since I have caught a video, this was a far cry from Rainier or the Grand Canyon. Some KZbinrs may have stretched this into a 15 part mini series, thank you for not dragging the video on that long. Great adventure once again.
