Normally I'd be like "that's a silly thing to say" but it's really not in this case. The game is amazing. Like I play it and it still feels ahead of its time, I still boot it up and go "wow this game is so pretty". As Luke Stevens said in his nearly 90 minute review of just the base game, it's a life-changing experience. It's that profound.

@@turkishsztn4053 You can't really compare them, Witcher 3 is an RPG whereas RDR2 is more sandbox OW. However I was very disappointed with RDR2 game design and how its missions treat you like a baby and give you a game over when you literally don't follow at the inch the yellow line on the map, in my opinion it's just a disgrace for a game of this budget when you see how other open world offer you douzens of ways to finish a mission's objective and play in many different styles. I didn't felt this in Witcher 3 however so I would say I liked it more overall. I really hope Rockstar tries to change this in their next game because their missions nowadays feel more and more like movies than a video game

I just hope that they make the next witcher about someone else. Let Geralt's history rest forever. Aging as a fine wine. I hope they don't make that about Ciri either. Cause not everyone chose the witcher's path for her and liked that she became an empress. And imo, she is not as cool. I hope they tell someone else's story. In an area of the world we never saw, with people we never knew. This world has so much more to explore... So many tales... Such beauty...

I remember those times. Searching for the Witcher Diagrams, constantly having to upgrade the pieces over time... Selling every single item you pick up from corpses, hoarding food until you become a human refrigerator, The fae, the beasts, the undead... Geralt's raspy voice, Ciri's defiant personality. Yennefer's mesmerizing black mane and entrancing eyes, Triss' powerful magic and youthful smile. Olgierd's missions, O'Dimm's riddles, Dettlaff's wrath, The Wild Hunt's... hunt. Skelligan, home to the honor-bound Skelligers. The seas, Oh FUCK THE SEAS! I hated that part. The whales were cool though. Nilfgaard, ruled by Emhyr, the tyrant. Nilfgaardians... those snotty twits. Redania, protected by the soldiers in red. Radovid the fucking sicko. He was the Hitler of Witcher. Dijkstra is the only good choice for the ruler of all the lands. Oh yes, and beautiful Toussaint. The fairytale land with clear, and beautiful, vibrant colors The vampire epidemic, the royal conspiracy, and GRANDMASTER ARMOR. fucking awesome. The sky, the rain, the muck and the guck. Everything about this game was beautiful. The story, the characters, the gameplay, the dialogue. Perfect. Roach the teleporting mount, the OP Ursine armor builds, yeah baby. The choices... some were fun to choose and some were hard to make. Some had the best outcome, resulting in the happiest and cutest endings, while some had the worst outcomes, ending with the most heartbreaking of results. This game was one HELL of a ride.

Not sure if anyone will read these comments, but THANK you to OP for posting this. I love the Witcher 3, it was the first Witcher game I played. I was someone who had no idea about the story or the Lore, so I went in a deep dive to read everything I could about Geralt and the Witcher World. Over time I have played games and finished them, but Witcher 3 is the one I come back to again and again. I finished both DLC's last winter, and got the "bad ending" to Blood and Wine. I felt SO BAD that the quest was finished, I started another playthrough on NG+ so that I could get the good ending. I had an empty, hollow feeling for days after I left the world of Toussaint, and I was literally on a mission to get back there in my next playthrough. Now I look forward to doing side quests, since my main quest is finished, and I really want to take just more time to explore the world and take everything in. I have finished Corvo Bianco, so at long last Geralt finally has a "home" with Yen. I think if my "Happy Place" was real, it would probably be in Toussaint! Thank you for posting, and for reading my long comment.

Been 8 years, there is still no game that comes close to the Witcher 3. The map, the narrative, the story, the characters, the emotions, the music, will there ever be another game like this? Maybe the new Witcher? Hope so.
