At 15 years old I was perusing the corkboard wall in the hall of the uni where my dad taught. I came across a notice that TM was going to be taught in one of the classrooms later that month. I begged my dad to give me $50 (that's what it cost at the time) to take the training. He was sure it was wasted money - and told me so - but gave it to me anyway. I'm 59 years old and I am still an avid meditator. TM transformed my entire life. It is pure beauty.

I've started meditating two weeks ago, and I've learned that what I thought is a life long illness was just a coping mechanism that started with a childhood trauma that I've forgot, now I've never been a spiritual person, don't believe in God or other fantastical figures, but seriously...meditation works if you want to know yourself and understand life.

God is conciousness not a man it’s the all knowing, energy field. If consciousness (god) is a ocean then we are a droplet from that ocean we are oneness from the whole we are all technically god.. I don’t like to use the term god tho as religion is filled with dogma and manipulation, I prefer to say source or simply consciousness, energy, you use the term god and people instantly think your bible bashing and I’m far from religious I beileve religion has some truths but man in power changed it and decided to put fear on people in order to control the masses of people as if you listen as I have to 100’s of ndes they all come back saying hell doesn’t exist and if you have a hellish experience it’s because you manifested hell with your thoughts as they say they never stayed there so hell is a state of consciousness rather then a place it’s the lower vibration of consciousness but nahh after studying so many ndes I’m at peace now I feel I have a great understanding why we choose to encarnate and live a physical life it’s a experience where we grow and expand our consciousness, as they say we are the universe experiencing it’s self we are the reflection of the universe

Something about his work, unlike other surreal works, tend to have an overarching feel of something beyond. I can’t use full sentences to describe it right now, so here’s a few fancy words and adjectives: Flickering. Vibrant. Paradoxical. Magical. Starry. Timeless. Beautiful. Terrifying. Biblical. Chaotic. Ethereal. Colourful. Dull. Light. Dark.

I went to one of David Lynch's 'Consciousness creativity and the brain' talks, and after the talk David Lynch and Donavan came up to the bar and spoke to myself and a few friends. He asked: "Well, what did you think?". We all just grinned, none of us replied because we were all too star-struck and stunned, and I personally hoped they would move on to someone else, which they both did. It was a great talk though.

Lynch is an incredible human being talented , creative , intelligent and kind. And I've always been a fan , I remember the first time I saw this back when he was on the tour going to all the many places talking about TM. I have yet to find a good TM teacher because I would give anything to have what he's talking about. This 8 minutes describes the one thing I want most in the world. That is second to a good woman who truly loves me , shes what I want most of all. Maybe the TM can help me find her. I dont care about money, property or fame.

I have been practicing TM for almost a year now and I agree with all of what David has to say. I would recommend TM to literally anyone. If someone ever says that they do not have the time in the day to dedicate 30-40 minute to meditation that is the first sign that they need to meditate.

I LOVE that David Lynch experienced darkness and pain and learned to use it to create deep appreciation of the goodness and sweetness of life . You can see the light in his eyes as he looks out with platonic love on those around him. My own father let his eye be filled with darkness so that he looked at his own children as demons and devils. Whether the christian faith is real or not I know that's an evil thing. "But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness." Matt 6:23

Great to hear this being spoken by respected public figures. Keep spreading the truth. Here's a poem I wrote about my experience of it. It's called The Truth About Unity... When an opportunity of unity presents No impunity from purity this intense We are all merely one Undone like the sun So truly and duly alone Don’t hinder it, get used to it, Be kind to it and to your children It to your-selves, it to each pilgrim, it Yes it, for it…….it is alone. Because if you’re not happy within You’re unhappy without And without a doubt, that’s for certain Much love, St. Eve xx Al'one ~ All One

I totally agree with David Lynch, that insight occurs on a experiential, not intellectual level, and that insight meditation allows the meditator to tap into the experiencial level, but before this can occur in any way, one needs to learn a technique of meditation, and for any results, or benefits from a meditation technique to occur at all, one needs to apply patience and repetition of the same thing over and over. I think a lot of techniques taught, are nothing but relaxation techniques, and they are benificial no doubt, but they are not meditation. Meditation is not sitting down and trying to 'not think', because that doesn't work, the mind chatters, and one must learn to accept that it chatters, and then despite of this, learn to keep the mind in the present, be it observing the breath as it naturally flows in and out, or whatever other technique to keep the mind in the present, the main thing is 'practice' - without practice, there is no gain, and there is no progress.
