I love that last description of this practice as the yoga of fullness. The tantric path is like sitting on the edge of your seat. You don't lean back, because there is alway work to be done literally at your feet and beyond. -/\- Namaskar

I love your sharing of your own conflicts when it comes to Meditation. All of these subtleties in thought are so paper-thin in slight shifts and the Divine Wisdom that can only come in times of doubt. Sometimes it feels like we cannot get to that Divine Place because to negative thoughts that flood or distract...hearing you speak to this and that you also in the Depths of all your Wisdom, have these challenges, but the Divine is always there & that this is part of the Journey and the Lessons along the way - they are so Subtle within the Subtle Body. Thank you Dada - Namaskar

Thank you for this happy sharing. A personal experience: Santosha is not a yoga practice but a fruit of yoga practice . It is a state, an event, the flavor of the present moment, It is to be absorbed in the world as it is, a benevolent vigilance, a peaceful enjoyment, without being charged in the past, without being distracted by the to come up. Namaste

Santosha is part of the Yamas and Niyamas, which are part of the 7 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga. The physical aspect of yoga that we see mostly today in the West, is only of these limbs, and serves as a preparation for the further limbs.

another thing: don't throw around words like fullness and emptiness without properly defining what you mean. because emptiness in one sense is the higher blessing and in that sense, you can reach samadhi only when your mind is absolutely still and empty. for Buddha, the emptiness is the ultimate reality. i know you talk in a different context, but still, be clear about your words. santosha has a strong connection with Aparigraha and an even stronger connection with the 1st word of the first sutra: Atha.

What happens if you don’t have anything to live for? No children or friends? Plus having a remembering issue and a disconnection with people? What can i do? When I do feel like i mentally feel it is working I can not remember what i did and what time i used the meditation.

In many cases, a proper lifestyle corrects that feeling, and give a new interest in life.

Namaskar Dada. I lost my mother in 2015 and after losing her I sensed some kind of change inside. I started to feel that I have some bigger purpose to fulfill in this life, but not sure what it is. Now I understand that it is actually to get connected to the Creator and to serve His creation. I am trying to practice the things about Yama and Niyama that you have talked about and also trying to do meditation. However, I have a fear that I might die before accomplishing my purpose that I am meant to fulfill which I don’t want. This fear is bothering me too much. It feels like I am running out of time and will not be able to do anything of value to the world. Please suggest me what should I do?

Namaskar, Dada. I have been watching your videos from some time and liked them a lot. I want to practise meditation and trying a lot for it. But I am an addict to pornography and masturbation and want to quit this addiction and live a life of goodness. I want to practise celibacy. Please help me, tell me how can I overcome this habit. Please tell me Dada 🙏🙏.
@JonesP777 жыл бұрын
hmm, you asked not me, but anyway, here are just my thoughts :-) To masturbate is not a bad thing, why you want to stop it? Is it so often that you cant live the life you want to live? At first you must get the pressure out of your head that you MUST stop it, this doesnt work. Maybe a little less, start small. Dont forget that the most important thing is to enjoy life. If that means that you masturbate more than others, why not? You dont go to hell just because you masturbate, relax, there is no one who judges you for your behavior, at least no god or great spirit ;-) Start small, do it one time less a day or so. Also nobody has to meditate, for some people this is just not the right way in their actually life. Meditate should be fun, at least most the time. Maybe in the beginning it is not a lot of fun, but in the end you should enjoy it. Otherwise this doesnt make any sense ^^ Enlightment is not the goal in life. Life is the goal of life. Have a nice day Namaste

PP, this has been quite a misguided piece of advise. Not all the things that we enjoy are good for us. Sleeping too much, eating too much, eating wrong food, indulging into uncontrolled sex behavior, deviating form the rules of morality, etc. all of that leads to the degeneration of health, decomposition of personality, loss of strength and ability for deeper happiness. Human life is not for instinctive pleasures, it is for raising above animality towards true humanness and, consequently, towards divinity.
@goodday84262 жыл бұрын
What pp is telling is right, you r miss understanding, further adding to his answer, practice these steps, 1. Whenever you feel do that, dont worry be happy. 2. Avoid seeing girls in street, no day dreaming, any love seens in tv or in movies avoid see that. 3. Spend more time in friends, outdoor, 4. Daily exercise imp. 5. If u married then no problem at all. 2

I like your videos, but be careful, comparing ourselves and basing our contentment on comparison with people who have less is not Santosha. being happy about the possibility to see based on comparison with a blind man is not Santosha. it is a lack of empathy.
