In this video Dada explains how the six enemies of the mind can be channelized so that their inimical qualities are transformed into assets for our spiritual growth. The six enemies are all interrelated: desire, anger, greed, attachment, pride and jealousy.
The enemies of the mind are also part of us, so killing them means we are killing a part of ourselves which is not advisable.
So instead of killing them Dada explains that their energies can be channelized to a subtler goal. The subtle goal is the Omnipresent Supreme Consciousness which is the object of our meditation. He advises patience and continuous practice of channelization as we create new neural pathways that will divert the flows of these negative emotions into their positive counterparts.
0:00 What does 'enemies' mean and what is our goal?
2:56 Six heads of one demon
5:35 To kill the beasts or to tame them?
6:25 4 ways to deal with emotions
16:54 How to experience happiness during meditation?
20:23 What ruins society?
23:30 Channelization of our emotions
25:45 Kundalini shakti
27:21 From enemies to good friends

Dada says: "Our enemies are the heaviest emotions that we experience.[...]you cannot kill them. they constitute your stamina.[...] you ca suppress them, but you become a lifeless person. So we have to find other ways to deal wit them.[...]They are enemies of the mind because your goal is to achieve infinite happiness. The goal of the enemies of the mid is to keep you engaged wit h limited and temporary objects. If you look deep within your soul, you aspire for infinite, eternal happiness. They are interconnected and they are six of them, desire/lust, anger , greed, attachment, pride, jealousy." Thank you , dearest Dada.

This video is so full of clear and poetic lessons. It speaks to our tendencies and behaviors (in relatable ways) while eloquently clarifying the active form of meditation. The practice described here is the key to transformation. "As you think so you become". There is no one else. This is a priceless discussion on how to be and elevate love. Dada, thank you for sharing this energy with your every word.

nice reminder to not try and push down or indulge in the crude impulses but rather redirect them, and to see that the reaction of opposition based on our opinion about these impulses ultimately will not "deal" with them, if i look at myself it's easy to make this mistake or just forget

I know that what you said about the Supreme and our greed for His Love to be ours and ours alone, Dada. Yet when I look out at the world and see all of the suffering in people caused by these 'enemies of the soul', I simply cannot help but desire within every fiber of my being that every single person, every single entity, is bathed in His Love. Yes, I want this Love for me more that I want anything temporal, but I want it for us ALL, that this infinite expression of Divine Consciousness fills everyone one of us with Love to repletion. God Bless you, Dada, and every soul alike. Namaskar

That kind you for explaining so thoroughly and comprehensively how to change the polarity of our powers towards spirituality. Another great teacher I love and respect, Nigella Lawson who writes cooking books, also says that greed is a good positive emotion and it’s the lack of greed that leads to death, the more powerful the greed the more powerful the love for life. I liked that. And your lesson follows to make us understand how to work with and transform these powerful ‘beasts’

Oh Dada I don't know how to express my gratitude to you. I've been meditating for almost a year and I already experience wonderful changes but at the same time confusion, anger and too many feelings and emotions I cannot understand and explain very well, so I'm always scared and anxious! Although, I don't want to give up, I don't want to give up at all! I wanna get to the goal no matter what so, I asked the supreme; oh father what is this? this anguish, I feel so lost please answer me, give me a light, a torch to follow!... so I came to this video and you just said so beautiful, touching and warming things that resulted to be just exactly what I was trying to understand and you put it so simple and so gentle that I don't get how I was struggling so much to figured it out, thank you thank you thank you Dada, and thank you The Supreme for his infinite love, we're never alone... oh I must say I hope to hear more of your personal stories, they are so charming and I also get jealous of people that get touched by the supreme before me and I always felt so bad about that but now I know he enjoys it and that makes me so happy!

At 29:00 that didn't made much sense to me, when you said that you can't loose the supreme but however you would rather loose an arm over the supreme...I mean why would you loose something that you can loose over something which cannot be lost? Of all these videos this is the part when you just stop making sense for me, if attachment is bad it should be bad being attached to the "supreme", if greed is bad it should be bad wanting so much of this "supreme" i supouse since will get as much as you deserve...I love your videos and everything you say apart from this, love you dada you are a great man helping others with these videos and your wise words❤

@MeditationSteps
@MeditationSteps 2 ай бұрын
Namaskar, this is the support team🙏 Dada doesn't have time to answer all the questions, so we help him. The desire for love and caring can be considered a desire because the attention of another person is also a limited thing. In this (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIKTeoF_g5WaZqc) video Dada explains the three different approaches towards the divinity. One is by the denial of all desires. The second is by the free expression of all desires. And the third is the gathering of all desires together and slowly and gradually channelizing them towards their source which is Pure Consciousness. We hope this information can help you overcome all the obstacles on your way to growth! Best wishes, Meditation Steps🌸

@pierrolunar8561
@pierrolunar8561 3 жыл бұрын
Secular Buddhism has not much to do with Buddhism. In Tibetan Buddhism there‘s a practice called dream yoga, where the goal is to be aware in a dreamless sleep, which can be achieved through meditation and lucid dreaming. So no, you don‘t get annihilated when you‘re asleep also you won‘t die through the death of the physical body. If you‘re really curious, go to a meditation retreat and experience those things for yourself, don‘t get caught up in conceptual beliefs.
