This is the type of belt i have been using for more than 3 months i have 2 of them. I think this is the most important part of curing your inguinal hernia.

I found this to be very useful in it's ability to keep "everything" in place. More importantly, I now have more time to strengthen the necessary muscles AND hopefully avoid going the surgery route. Personally, I have issues with doctors that want to immediately place their patients under the knife. By the way, I'm starting my 3rd week of exercise and though I'm not yet in the clear, I am seeing progress in the positive direction.

I just bought this belt and agree the pad is a bit bulky. So, I replaced it with a pad from another belt I've been using (Florida Orthopedics Soft Form hernia belt) that is flatter and it seems perfect. The Soft Form belt didn't seem to apply enough pressure, this one is better and more comfortable.

captquest1 agreed. That pad is terrible. A flat pad would definitely help.

I noticed the reverse side of the pad is flat...can't it just be flipped around so that the flat side goes against hernia? Thanks!

I found this belt to be very helpful my only complaint is the leg strap would chafe after a long day at work especially on the drive home. To cure the problem I started taking it off for the drive home and putting it back on once I got home. Try removing the pad I find that without the pad it still applies pressure to the hernia on the surface without pushing in too much.

If you can't tighten it up it can't really work for most hernias

Thanks for a great video. I hope to get my first truss today. Bit scary to see a guy like you, slim and quite fit, lean and in good shape can have a hernia. But then again when active sports people get them I guess anyone can. Thanks again.

this belt was horrible for me. I have tried it, it's ok when you stand up, as you can adjust the tightness, however, when I sit down, it digs into the scrotal area. I started getting pain, and numbness in the scrotum after some time sitting down. After 2 days of wearing it from morning to night, I had enough of this belt and took it off. It's a pain to sit, drive etc... don't recommend this at all to anyone
