Comfort-Truss Hernia Belt Introduction

This is the comfort-truss, which is the hernia belt that I have been developing for about two years now. I created this belt for myself because I could not find anything on the market that fit my active lifestyle. Once I came up with the design, and it worked so well, I thought I had to share with other people. So I put together a test group of a bunch of other active guys with inguinal hernias, made a couple tweaks to it, and here we are. I have gone from having an inguinal hernia the size of two golf balls together in the inguinal canal, to having no lump, and no pressure at all. This is part of how I got to this point.

74 years old. I take no meds, no sugar, no salt. Been doing leg lifts at wake up in bed for years. ABs are rock hard and I still popped a stupid right side inguinal. No doubt in my mind that it was caused by the onset of dry rock hard constipation. I eat lots of soluble and insoluble fiber from natural single ingredient food and still got constipated. I don't believe pressing for a BM caused my hernia. I think it was the pressure of the constant large hard stools in my lower colon that caused the hernia in the first place. Touch your navel to your spine is an old exercise learned in the Air Force many years ago. I have been doing these and others for a long time. Here is my take away, prevent an inguinal hernia by keeping your bowels moving freely by whatever means it takes for you personally. If prunes and apples work for you do it every day. If you need med assistance for awhile, do it. Study and try different foods and methods and when you find the one that works for your body stay with it. For me I think stopping salt, sugar and alcohol contributed to my constipation but it stopped high bp so it is a tradeoff. Whatever works for you stay with it. One thing that surprised me in this experience is the large number of very young men that have this inguinal hernia.

So ..... I definitely recommend the belt after using it prior to my surgery, and oddly enough it was also of tremendous help after the surgery, I'll explain in a minute. A couple of things however I'd like to point out, be prepared to pay close to 200 Canadian for it by the time it arrives with shipping / duties / taxes / and the couriers "fake" customs charges. But it's still worth it. Secondly, I got the single sided belt for my right side inguinal hernia, but mine was an indirect inguinal hernia so the gut was making it's way down into my scrotum, which meant the padding didn't quiet position itself where I needed it to. After struggling it to fit comfortably for a couple of days and forcing it down further closer to my "junk", the position I needed it to be, it did do it's job. But I was in a bad way and in a lot of pain, cause my hernia had strangulated several times and there was no longer an option to keep delaying the inevitable of having to have surgery. The last time it strangulated was back in March 1st, and I'm only guessing, but it must have done some additional damage inside. While I waited for the belt to arrive I tried using compression underwear ( men's body armor brand ) .... and that allowed me to walk around for about 15 - 20 minutes to do a few things around the house. Once I got the belt ..... it was "buying" me a good 30 to 60 minutes of being able to walk around a do things. It might not sound like much but it was a god send being able to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Lastly, I found that after walking around for said hour, I found that because I was positioning it in an awkward position, the belt would ride up and out of place, so I wish I had purchased the double sided one so that the stress on the belt is even and it probably would have kept it in place. Therefore, I recommend getting the double sided support belt even if your inguinal hernia is on one side only. I ended up having an open surgery repair, so after about 4 weeks ( which is where I am at now ) .... it's healing well but is still very tender and sore at the incision site, so any movement and your underwear / pants etc rub on the area and makes whats miserable even more miserable and "pissed off". I found that by stuffing my pants with a surgical wound pad helped but it too would move and rub on the wound. By using the belt ( as intended ) it holds everything tight and almost completely stops any chaffing going on inside your pants and has made a world of difference in tolerating the discomfort. So for that alone ... it was worth every penny and therefore I highly recommend this belt.

I'm definitely interested in this. The belts I've tried never provided the support I needed so I made my own using polyester. It's not the most comfortable thing I've ever used but at least it does the job. I'm hoping this will be much better than what I'm using now.

Jock strap, 3" waist band, one size smaller than you normally take. Velcro on inside and on a thick pad to cover hernia area..i fold up a childs sock. cheap effecitve , and you dont have to wear additional underwear....

I have known about my indirect inguinal hernias for over 10 years . They are both are 6mm and reducible . I have never seen any lump . Despite being told to have surgery I have refused and really not had many issues with pain. I am aware and try to manage . Not sure if I need one of these belts at this stage but would consider . I like to do a lot of SUP surfing and it may good for that

Not a bad idea at all :) but it may also add some level of complexity (and bulk) to the truss with the added chance of pump/parts failing while on the go. In this case, the less the better IMHO.

This is hands down the best design I have seen. Just what I want. But will it work for a female as well?

I think it would, but I have not had any women test it out yet. I think the main issue will be with the leg strap where it goes through the groin area. It may be a little too wide for a female because there is no scrotum there to hold it in the crease of the groin. It could easily be cut with a pair of scissors in that particular area, although I know this would not be ideal.

Get the heavy duty more expensive belt...about $70....I bought the cheaper one and it stretched out of shape and started to crumble / ravel apart after several months of use...I could never really get the hang of the t-strap for practical use...I’m a 36-38 waste size but was glad I ordered the medium...It really suits me better & truly can be adjusted as needed for flexible fit..I can pull it tighter and more snug for that bound up fit I prefer...Over all, there cannot be a better belt on the market....BAR NONE...👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽💪🏾💪🏾

Hey mate, very interesting your journey. I've been looking for something more natural to treat my inguinal hernia (indirect). I hold the same belief as you that this is treatable and I'm really not keen on having a mesh inside me for the rest of my days... I'm in the UK but would like to order one of your comfort belts. Hi, I'm very interested in this product. I am concerned though that it will not work for me. You have already addressed the return question to another person here so that's great that it can be returned. Last time I bought the Curad hernial belt, i liked how large the pad was because I figured it would keep the hernia pushed in but I had no way to put pressure in that area to allow the hernia to stay in. So the belt was a fail for me I see that the pad on this one is really small, how does this belt makes sure that there is enough pressure on the pad area to keep the issue in...?

Yes, the hernia should be fully reduced (pushed back in) when putting on the truss. If you cannot get the hernia back in, you should see a doctor right away.

Afternoon George. Seems the trusses of yours that I purchased have been giving me terrible skin rashes. No matter the tightness. Question is, why did you construct the trusses with the more abrasive side touching the skin area & the softer velvety side facing outward towards the clothing area? @@MyNaturalHerniaCure Not true as there is only one way to wear & fasten the velcro strips correctly. The softer side faces the outside clothing area. The smoother side faces the skin area but is definitely not softer. Why is that???

The only way to attach the hook side of the velcro is if the loop side, which I’m assuming your calling the velvety side, is facing out. The inside layer of the truss is is made with nylon spandex which is one of the softest, stretchiest materials you can get. If you were to use the other other side towards the skin there would be no way to fasten the velcro to the outside of the belt, and it would rash you up ten times worse.

I'm not a doctor but I understand that if you are feeling ANY pain you should see your doctor immediately and get the surgery. Otherwise the truss should help. Also, I highly recommend exercise to strengthen and heal the affected area. I got the belt last summer and have been doing the exercises from the video on this channel and my hernia size is slowly decreasing.

It will not be as durable as a belt with big elastic bands, but about 100 times more comfortable.

Poor built quality. Started to fall apart after a month of use. Foam layer started to break in the groin area and is barely staying together. I use it almost every day and especially during the exercises that are recommended by George. Unfortunately, the warranty is only for 30 days and it falls apart after 30 days! I live overseas, so my shipping costs actually exceeded the price of the belt itself. Will not be ordering it again. The area around the groin where there is most stress and wear should have been build more securely.

We have had a few other customers having the same problem, and we believe there was a problem with the lamination process on some of the fabric used to make the belts on the last production run.
