Got my copy of “You’re not a Chicken” yesterday. 🐥🦅 What a beautiful children’s book with an important message for the young and the young at heart. Like the little eagle in the story, we must realize who we really are (our true identity, dignity, authority and destiny) and learn to flap our wings strong enough to rise out of the chicken coop and fly free into the big blue sky. We all need to know who we are and whose we are - we’re not chickens, we’re eagles (children of God) and we’re meant to soar!! 🦅 The illustrations are amazing too and really add to the beauty of the story. Thank you so much Father Mark for turning this incredible homily story into a very relatable book that everyone will enjoy. Children (and adults) are going to love it. Good news. ☺Just heard it last night. Our bishop is doing an outside Consecration to Russia and Ukraine at local square next Friday that includes us all praying the Rosary.☺ This is a historic Maybe once in lifetime event and honouring Mother Mary. I know some people debate over him inviting rather than asking bishops to be there but it's closest Pope come to Our Lady of Fatima's wishes. Though preferable if he had only consecrated Russia as requested. Hope and pray that Jesus and Mary accept this if it's God's will. 🙏

Agreed, we need to focus on the message and directions to pray the rosary and do penance for the consecration of Russia as per Our Lady of Fatima's message. Medjugorje is a distraction and heretical as it preaches that muslims are holier than baptized christians and does not adhere to the dogma of Immaculate Conception by celebrating our Lady's birthday on August 5th (8 months after the Feast of Immaculate Conception) instead of September 8th.

Mother is said to have commented about one Muslim woman in a village who was loving God as best she could with the knowledge she had. Find that message and then feel free to agree or disagree, but do 't just throw gas on a fire to stir people up; that is the devil's job.

This Pope wants to Consecrate Russia AND Ukraine to Mary’s Immac Heart. Only thing is .. that’s NOT what Mary asked for. She specifically said “RUSSIA” needs to be verbal stated, due to their “past” errors. Pope also asked all churches to follow suit. WHAT?! He should have written a decree to every “Bishop in the world” and ordered them that on the same day and at the same time, along with him RUSSIA would be Consecrated just as Mary requested in 1917! Mary’s words were the Pope and all the Bishops of the world, same day, same time. THAT is Mary’s exact request. You can’t add or subtract from a statement from Heaven, are they out of their minds?! Mary’s words are perfect and without reproach. You can’t just add Ukraine!!!! If it’s not done JUST as Mary asked we will pay the price. John Paul Consecrated “the world” back in 1984 and Mary told Sr Lucia that because he prayed for the world She would send down to us a Grace ... but NOT the “world peace” She promised because it was NOT DONE ACCORDING TO HER WORDS. Will the Vatican ever wake up. I do not trust this Pope to get it right. He’s being political and that’s definitely NOT his job. He’s made many wrong choices and in defiance to all us Catholics. God be with us is all I can say. It’s suppose to happen on 3/25. Pope Francis did not have a wake up call. A wake up call would be to Consecrate just Russia with All the Bishops of the world. Which means he would have have had to send out a declaration to ALL the Bishops, he did not do that, he merely said I hope all the churches will follow. And If he did the Consecration of Russia as was proposed, there would be world peace....sooooo no need from him to make a decision that Ukraine needs to be inserted in the Blessed Mother's "perfect" request. Ukraine would automatically have peace!!!! WE CANNOT DECIDE TO ALTER (in "any" way) WHAT OUR HEAVENLY MOTHER REQUESTED....at all. Deep thought needs to go into this. This is not to be taken lightly. People need to wake up from their slumbers. Sit and think: would I ever ever alter in any way what the Blessed Mother has ever said. Her words are God's words. Everything She has ever done....comes from God first or She wouldn't do it.

Mary asked that her request be done by 1960@@msj5885 . So many unfaithful ignorant Catholics here. The Consecration is good, but we have still disobeyed Mary. Fr. Goring's answer was to be OBEDIENT... the Church was not obedient to fulfill her request by 1960, so thus the Church has been corrupted since then. Russia has lost her Communism & error (compared to 1917) and America, Ukraine and most sadly the Church has embraced Communism & error.

Went through 12 years of Catholic school I really wish that my History teachers would have integrated Marian prophecy, Marian apparitions, and the visions of other mystics along with other historical Catholic facts into our regular curriculum I had no idea how many shrines dedicated to Mary that there are in Russia Maybe if those of us who went to Catholic schools in the 70’s/ 89’s had been taught more about the relevance of our faith in relation to the world, current events, and History- then maybe more of us would have stayed practicing Catholics

@@barbaraclarke9299 this is very true, however, the rosary is a very powerful prayer and can be said in 15 minutes. Catholics are asked specifically to say this prayer as it is a sign of predestination. You can address this to Father Goring. I note that other denominations listen to his podcasts. The world is in crisis and for me, to dedicate 15 minutes a day to prayer is nothing when one considers that we all can be facing what Ukraine is going through. Remember HE will be your Judge at the end of your life. you go face to FACE with HIM. and you will only have what you did and said in this life before HE tells you were you are going for eternity. Father Mark, talking about Medgugorje. I have been on pilgrimage to Medgugorje 5 times in 10 years. I really love that place. First time I met Father Joso. That was very special. He laid his hands upon us and prayed for the holy spirit to come over us. For me, that was a special feeling that I never will forget. I have been to Lourdes also. But Medgugorje is special with the many, many young people that pray and worship.

@@christopherfleming7505 True. You don't need to believe in an apparition to be a good Christian. But it's a fact that many find the way back to Jesus again. You recognise the tree on the fruit. Do you believe in Lourdes? On Medgugorje. I have problems to with the apparition because it's now about 4 decades-long time. But, on the other hand we can tell heaven how they need to do or how they need to work. There were false apparitions. When a seer is leaving his wife marrying an other woman because the apparition asked to do, as it wss in Australia, then I doubt. Also the seer will be the next Pope!. Don't believe that story. How holy it may look like, it's false. In Medgugorje there are messages. You can believe or denie. No one can blame you for doing both, if you stay on the right road.
