Previous month I managed to pull my first five figure income ever!!! I've been working for this provider over the web for two years now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the best thing regarding it is that I am not that tech-savvy, they just asked for standard knowledge of internet and simple typing skill...The best thing about this is that I have more time to spend with my family. I am in a position to commit quality time with my relatives and buddies and take care of my babies and also going on holiday along with them very consistently. Don't avoid this chance and try to act rapidly. Here is what I do *worth48.com*

Omg ! That's the perfect consistency for vadA. Awesome!! Indian food takes more time and ingredients to cook, but it's definitely touches your taste palettes completely!!! Good job with medu vada !!!
@senthilkumarm94785 жыл бұрын
By applying water in hand it will not stick while dropping vada dough. Even by applying vada dough in banana leaves and then making the round shape and hole it will easily drops.
@soumyadhaldhalsoumyaranjan5 жыл бұрын
the concept of hole is that the vada gets fried from inside too... if you can't make hole you can reduce the size of vada so that it can fry well

The consistency is perfect. We normally add asoefotida and coriander leaves, but no cumin. Also soaking the dal for 30 minutes to an hour is more than enough. Wet your hands before making the vada, it'll help you to get the shape right... in case the batter's too thin, you can add a spoon of rice flour to get it thick. To make the vada: dip your hands in a bowl of water, shake off the excess, grab a good amount of the batter, slap it onto the palm of the other, dip the forefinger of your free hand back in the water, make the hole in the center, then remove and slide into the oil. Kudos for trying! We Tamilians make it for all pujas and festivals. You can add shredded cabbage, shredded greens like spinach. There's another kind of vada that's easier, called masala vada. Condolences on your loss. Losing a parent is hard, life- changing & will take a few years to get over.

Nice to see you cooking Indian food. One small tip for the good shape of vada, you can keep the vada batter on the back of the small steel strainer and make a hole and leave it in the oil directly from the back of the strainer and you can add 2-3 spoons of rice flour to get the good consistency.

basically 'vada', with a hole in the middle is actually a 'prasadam' we get/ distribute, when our parents die, during performing of death rites/ final rites,.. other occasions the same is made without a hole in the middle, it is called ' bonda'

Try this. If the dough gets bit soggy use rice flour( fine or coarse). That will thicken it and makes it super easy to shape the vada and trust me it will taste exactly the same or even better.

You both have done a marvelous job. This is my favorite breakfast item. But, its tricky not just about making the hole in the center, but also the consistency of the batter has to come out right. If the batter is not very well blended or even too thick, Vadas come out too hard and don't taste as good. But you got the consistency fairly good. Actually it might have been good that the consistency was slightly watery, because it allowed the batter to be better cooked inside and crispy outside. Glad you enjoyed it. Actually in some areas in the south home folks do not make the hole at all, as its too much hassle and time to make the hole, so the batter is just dropped in hot oil and instead of being called vada, it's called "ambadeh" and it comes out as tasty anyway, of course the batter consistency being good. Sorry to hear about your loss. Any loss at any age is heartbreaking. The ache of loss never leaves. Condolences.

I lost my mom all of sudden in just 10 days time. She was 62,just 14 days from her next birthday. I miss her cooking too and learned some cooking from her. Your cooking is so nice. The vadas turned out pretty well just like vadas here. Hope you and your family enjoyed it a lot. I normally make a home made chutney of toor dal which goes great with vadas when served hot.

O that's great!!! Do not worry about the shape. Your effort is highly appreciated!!!! Taste is all that matters! Next time just dip a spoon in water ( just to make it wet, so that the batter slips easily ) then take a spoon full of batter and slip the batter into hot oil.

1. Pur condolences on your loss! 2. Ur attempt was sooper and u have lots if suggestions on a better shaping technique. 3. Almost everyone has given u suggestions on the VADA but here i hige u a simple less complez chutney.. Wash and chop Coriander, pudina, green chillies 2or 3 or more depending ur batch n ur spice level, add bit of tamarind ( paste or whole but without seed) along with salt. Now blend it all and do a taste test to adjust salt n tanginess. If needed u can even temper it in 2 tsp of oil with mustard, jeera, urad dal and curry leaves. This chutney can be had with any sort of fritters sply on a cold winter nights with hot fritters or even with chapati idly ir dosa!

A bit of oil on ur hand. It ll help the batter to not stick. Take a small scoop n make it into a ball in ur left hand. Then with right index finger, make a hole n gently squeeze it to round to bit flat oval shaped... with the hole in it... that's how they do it...

Hello guys. Appreciate the efforts u put for this dish. There is one tip -u should have keep plastic sheet near the vadai batter. Take little water or oil and apply on the sheet and take lemon size vadai batter and throw with light force on the sheet and make a hole in the centre and lift it along with sheet and turn it to horizon side so slowly the vadai batter will slip and slide into the oil
