Mee Goreng Mamak - Red Fried Noodles - Singapore Street Food

Singapore Hawker Food / Lau Pa Sat Festival Market is the only Singapore Street Food. Known for its BBQ Satays Skewers, it's the one place where you will be spoilt for choice over 10 push-cart vendors peddling satays of different meat (chicken, mutton, beef and even grilled prawns). However, hidden amongst them in one Indian Food Cart that dishes out Mee Goreng (Fried Noodles), Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) and Murtabak. It’s one of the places to indulge in local food and what better way than to dine at the only Street in Singapore (next to the market).

Malaysia style mee goreng is different not that reddish coloured. Singapore style is reddish because it consists of the tulang merah soup.

Yes but trust me the product is different there .. no kapur taste .. not all hawker there practically do this but some will run under tap water and display in the glass cabinet preparation area

There's not much stuff in this dish, alot of ingredents missing. Such as tofu, bolied potato, bean sprouts, minsed meat ,green peas etc. just plain noodle and alot of red food colour.
