Nothing of the sort is obvious. This is typical behavior of cats that are living together. My 2 cats spend 80% of their time at each others' throats, 18% of their time aloof to each other, and about 2% of their time like this. I could upload a video of that 2% and you'd be like "these 2 are obviously in love", and my answer to that is no they ain't.

Why does almost everyone think captivity is horrible. If anything, it’s better for the animals, of course with the proper treatment. They don’t have to hunt and get the best food given to them, they get constant care for any ailments, no chance of being poached and hunted, they won’t harm any humans. And because of those things, the animals live longer and fuller lives than just surviving in the wild. There is a sacrifice of space, but that can be easily remedied by constant exercise and a large enclosure.
