Important note if you go buy the Gear drive etc. No one else sells replacement tires, gears, rims and so on, only meepo. So if they for whatever reason stop selling them means you're out of luck repairing it if anything is broken.
You don't need to worry about finding the broken parts, just contact us!

Hey Scott! We really loved your video! About the grease you have mentioned in the video, the reason is that, is because we are worried it may get spit out everywhere when you are going really fast, that's why we didn't add that much! I hope this can explain the confusion, and if you have any other questions, please feel free to comment down below!
@davidheath24272 жыл бұрын
It won't matter how much grease you put in it will get thrown away from the gears and stick where you don't need it. Exway are using oil in their gear box , a much better solution. Sorry meepo.

⚡🤙🏼 *Pretty inane that we now have the traditionally budget production brands doin gear drive* 🤙🏼⚡ Will be interestin to see how that pans out long term for the average non-DIY rider. Pretty wide lookin deck, I'm fond of 40T cells but I know everyone has now been spoiled with all the Molicel options so it's hard for some to accept 40T now. I have said it time and again, I have seen DIY guys use a Lot more grease on their gear drives. Really enjoyed the background music choice on this one! I'm still waitin for the Meepo Flow with the DKP trucks on a deck with a kicktail. Great ridin footage, another awesome review. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

@@scottdaviesyoutube I think there’s pretty much enough there, the grease is barely gonna stay on the gears anyway, most gets splattered off on the first ride and sits on the casing.

Did your gear drive kit come with an Allen wrench to remove the set screws holding the original gears on the motors? I just got to that point and the set screw is so tiny and none of the included tools will fit.

Im hoping I dont have a major problem. I just got my board today and right out of the box ZERO charge to the board. Ok no biggie, obviously needs to charge caus eits brand new right? Plug it in and the charger is solid green so I have no idea if its actually charging or not. The power button on my board does NOTHING. No lights, no sound, nothing. Hold it for 7 seconds and nothing. The remote obviously doesnt see the board either. I've had it charging for about 2 hohrs now with no sign of change.

I am buying the hurricane ultra with bamboo, tkp and belt drive. Would you recommend the cyclone racing wheels or the tubeless? I am also buying the cyclone 110s
@DJMajickMan2 жыл бұрын
I see they did not install the 100A ESC in the Ultra. So you can still boost it further with that upgrade.
@ajplant962 жыл бұрын
@GeeKIller The gears are cloned off another brand’s and they handle north of 200a fine in some DIY builds, that said who knows where Meepo’s quality sits in comparison despite imitating another brand’s product.
@DJMajickMan2 жыл бұрын
@GeeKIller The 100A is an upgrade for all Hurricanes at this point. The Ultra is using the same ESC that's in my Hurricane I purchased around this time last year.

Which would you recommend Meepo Cyclone 165 tubeless, racing wheel, or AT set for the hurricane. And if you had a rating what would it be for value per dollar for each wheel.

As a lot of people said the hurricane seemed slow in your race between your original hurricane and the Zeus pro, I myself also felt it seemed a bit slow, maybe defective, but now you have another hurricane, can you tell the difference between the 2? Does this one seem quicker? I’ve got a hurricane ultra belt drive and it’s acceleration is pretty brutal.

What is your ultras max range? I own the original hurricane and run the racing wheels with belts and I only get about 15 miles in mode 3.(100kg rider)seems low. oh and since belt tension effects range and torque how would you compare it to the gear drive and also water residents?
@MeepoElectricSkateboard2 жыл бұрын
You will get 5 - 10% more range compared to the belt drive system, and even more powerful acceleration!

I'm planning to buy the bamboo + belt + 165 + tkp, but only 15miles range is scaring me.

@@eduardg5619 Personal weight really is the deciding factor when it comes to distance. My lighter/less tall friends get way more distance. You can squeeze a few more miles out of it by using different wheels too. This board is a great value/fun and the site(shipping&taxIncluded in everything) & customer service is better than most. If range is your thing. I do own a Propel endeavor 2 pro, which gives me good range and I really like the Exway atlas pro + Auxpack + 1000w charger. Hope I could help. Keep riding brother.

Is the deck the same as the OG or is it more flexy? Kami kept talking about it being flexy so i didn't know if it was the same stiff CF or if this deck had some flex to it.

I'm still shopping for a board but I'm not really into the louder than belt geardrives. Understand they are more efficient but they don't sound good to me. Doesn't have the nice Jerico or M22 Muncie sound. lol Sounds more like one of my electric RC cars with a pinion /spur mesh that is too close. I build RC cars and I run my transmission cases pretty much packed full of grease. (Sealed billet transaxle cases) I chase these cars down desolate highways for 5 to 20 km at a shot cruising between 50 and 80 mph. Sometimes blast up past 100mph or 160km/h. With the amount of grease in your geardrives, my old plastic transaxle diff planetary gears would melt at triple digit speeds. (Got rid of the plastic and run stainless gears now) . Just sayin I'd put some more grease in there..There is lots of pressure on those tiny teath pulling all that human weight. These boards run 150-400kv motors whereas my 1/7th and 1/10th scale RC's only run lower torque higher speed 1700kv to 2400kv. More grease probably quiet it down a little too. Another good video. Think I binge watched most of them lately.
