Cool review as always. Just sold all my boards and got an exway x1 max which will help avoid getting busted by police. Maybe some day ill get a mini board again. I would like a stealth mini board, if they could make that with a half-decent range that would be awesome.

I like it! It would be useful for someone who lives in town or goes to college and or running errands etc. I agree it’s a nice board for entry level riders. That’s why I would buy it. Where I live it wouldn’t be for me because I need something that is capable of more, much much more.👍it looks like a person could put all the hardware on a bigger deck if you wanted.

Mate I use a wireless mic, music or more you won’t really hear it. I try and add a “noise test” but dont always remember 😂

How would you say the takeoff compares to older Meepo short boards? In my experience, it's definitely better to have gradual, rather than instant manuals.

I dont get it. Comparing the specs, the mini 2s is currently cheaper with both battery setups(looks to be using same batteries), and you get a remote with a screen. Only advantage I can maybe see is the trucks?

funny enough the Meepo V4 and Meepo V5 are all downgrades from their predecessors. Meepo has been consistently downgrading the boards over the years to make them cheaper. Meepo isn't trying to improve the boards specs with each version, but rather make them more budget friendly. dont take the V5 as an upgrade over the V4, and same with the 2S and Mini5. they are actually just newer budget options but they all have less features than the last.

What would you recommend for unsmooth roads that's ok for Scooters with pneumatics? I'd like a mini board or a longer board that's affordable....in western EU. We seem to have ads from brands that aren't well known in the US..

I've been looking at their website specs on this and the standard V5 model, it seems like they both share the same two WH options? 144wh and 288wh, but what's that in AH capacity?

Tynee Mini 3 Pro is the new king of the hill, i have two meepo minis, the hobbywing early mini 2 and another mini 2 with 100mm and Cloud wheels... why is Meepo going backwards... I just order a Tynee Explorer with Molicels and the new 80a esc, can't wait to ride it! Still love Meepo, but why go backwards, higher profit margins?? Reply

they upgraded the quality of the trucks, motors, deck, and ESC. the rest is the same. Meepo's plan seems to be making a budget board, but making it reliable and simple. they aren't going for features, or upgrades. they are simply going for the most basic board they can, while still being functional and decent quality. they took what they learned from the V3 and V4 and used it in the V5. then they'll take what they learn here and use that in V6, and so on. they will never really upgrade these boards spec wise, just keep them up to date in design and make them reliable. Sadly their quality control does need some work, but their plan in theory seems good enough. Meepo is a budget board company and I'm glad theyre mostly sticking to it

If you’ve never tried it don’t knock it. It’s not for doing kick flips but before the Ollie was invented skateboarding was a lot different. Skating pools carving streets etc. I currently ride an electric mountain board and it had replaced snowboarding and skiing or me. Since the winter where I live is no longer cold enough to allow for decent snow. When I feel like doing some trails or street riding I just jump on and go. No driving an hour to the hill buying a crazy expensive lift ticket or waiting in lines. I still ride hard on pedal bikes and go to the gym to keep in shape. This activity is not just for people who are lazy like you think. And it’s as active as you make it or at least as much exercise as skiing or snowboarding:)
