U guys have a great webcam. Most cameras cannot capture the screen on the remote because it has a line that goes down. Because of that I thoughtt they were all shipped broken. This helped a lot, thanks!

in the meepo v3. I've changed the ESC, ER battery, and now one of the hub motors is bad. Maybe the newer version is better. I really really hope so.

So you could ride the Meepo board in the rain for example and it wouldnt effect the battery or the motor wheels?

Most of these boards have water resistance but it's not recommended to ride in the rain. If you do though, you have to clean the bearings regularly or risk rusting

Make your stance like snowboard stance (back and front foot 0-15 degrees) You'll have way better control. You ride it like a penny board. You'll notice the difference in carves and get less speed wobbles. From a downhill longboarder ;)

I bought a new remote for my backfire.. I dont know if that itself speed hacked it but iv hit over 30 plenty of time.. Just upgraded to the Bigger real sleeves and actually have cloud wheels just for the front... Its a damn smooth ride !!!!

no one knows but you can switch the kmh to mph by turning the remote off then pressing reverse and on button at the same time on the meepo then switch with throttle

Well yeah you can but don’t brake while your going fast because then no matter how good you are you’ll fall. If your going fast I’d recommend just kind of running off of the board if that makes sense.

yeah you would just have to drill holes to mount the ESC case and the battery and you would also have to figure out where to run the wire that connects the two, on the original deck there is a cut out where the wire sits in the deck. But you could probably just tape the wire along the bottom of the new deck

@@liamsmith5188 If you're just getting into eboards, it's great! Amazing board feel, super comfortable ride, great handing and acceleration. The only thing that I don't like about it is the range tbh. If you're just riding around by yourself and being leisurely you're fine. But I've been on group rides and I couldn't keep up b/c the rides were 20 miles and my board only had 12 miles. That being said, 12 miles is still a really long distance but that's really my only negative. Everything else is amazing!

People are actually surprised and shocked when they're riding my MV3 at 20mph and it still has enough power to pull away from you when you floor the throttle. This is on pro mode. Yeah. I don't put the lanyard around my wrist so if I fall I can ditch the 50 dollar remote. Yeah.

Which would you recommend for beginners? Which one has the longer lasting battery?

That's objective since there are way too many factors. Rider weight, distance traveled, any hills (hills don't count that's why). So they are fairly close. The newer G2 Black from backfire actually has the slightly larger battery at around 180 watt hours. Versus the meepo v3 at 140 watt hours. However the v3 has larger motors at 540 Watts, vs. the G2 Black at 400 watts. The G2 black now has a screen in the controller if that was ever a deciding factor. So it's just like the V3 now. This website has been the best at deciding between the two for me. I haven't fully decided on which one I'm going with since they are both very good. Check it out. e-skateboarder.com/under-500/

@@liamsmith5188 After months of research, I don't think I'll be going with either backfire or meepo. Backfire is good but has had some problems with battery BMS issues lately. That coupled with the cracked truck plates on the Zealot S has now made me a little weary towards the company. Unfortunate. I still may consider them but in the future, not now. Meepo has some pretty decent boards, and their failure rate seems to be pretty low, as I've seen quite a few people with very high mileage boards. Unfortunately their customer support at least from what I've seen is non-existent or bad at the best. Also unfortunate. At least backfire was receptive to feedback and actually has a place to call in the United States as well as decent customer support. Just wish their boards were somewhat better quality with their batteries and parts. At this point I've decided to go with another company, third company named Lycaon. Lycaon I feel like has flown under the radar but has some very good boards. You can find some reviews out there on KZbin if you're interested in their board lineup. They only make 3 boards: their TRX 2.0 AT board comparable to the Verreal RS, their GR 2021 street board (think Backfire G2 black and Meepo V3), and their Swift street board which is comparable to most boards you see out there including Backfire's G3 plus and Zealot S and Meepo's NLS Pro belt and V3. The Swift knocks both out of those out of the water with price point and insane battery capacity and range. The Swift comes in two different versions, a Hub version and a Belt version. $699 USD and $799 USD respectively. They're having a summer sale right now but that ends in a week. After that, there is a coupon code for 30 bucks off floating around that you can find. I have it if your curious. From the time that I posted my original comment over the last two months, I've been studying, comparing and researching pretty much every single major electric longboard manufacturer out there. Tempted to start my own KZbin channel off of this.

Noooo if you haven’t already bought one, don’t buy one just because it’ll get here faster. When your deciding which one to get don’t factor in shipping speed because one might be way better and more reliable than the other and take two more months to ship but you should still go with the better one because in the end it’ll be... better!

Nice comparison guys, well done. I just received my BackFire G2 Tuesday and I really thinks it's great. Like you said very smooth. The 96mm vs 90 for the Meepo I think makes a difference in smoothing out the bumps, etc. Acceleration curve is really easy on you as well. Plenty of power off the line to get you to full speed in Normal and Pro modes. I was able to get 17 miles riding full throttle on Normal, not Pro mode. Pretty amazing. Check my vid for hill climb, etc. Keep up the great work.

Turbo mode(backfire) is a joke...its there so the motors dont overheat... so, to me that means the motors are weak...I had a ranger x1 and used a wowgo remote and the x-1 would over heat in a few miles with the wowgo remote on third speed mode...sent the backfire back...it had other issues as well..! Not a Backfire fan.

Nos Vein pro tip: use different bushings for your trucks! If u use tighter bushings at the back,and a lighter on in front,you get naturally better control and a really sick curve! Have fun riding my friend

I just bought a backfire g2 . It is absolutely not a good E-BOARD , compared to MEEPO - I TRIED BRAKING at top speed around a 90° corner and the wheels locked up. I landed on my elbow and the back of my head hit the pavement HARD. BACKFIRE IS JUNK and CHEAPLY BUILT. I WILL BURN IT IN MY FIRE-PIT !!!!
