You guys, Backfire had an issue with the batteries and was pro active and sent new batteries at their expense to all the backfire owners which is us. I just watched a review that spoke about this. We need to support companies like this, I’m buying this brand. Okay I found out that this company is in multiple countries so we have support in the USA, Europe and Australia. Backfire that was more than cool, I have no idea how much that cost you to do that for us, but 🙏🏽

I'm about to order my first e-skate, and have my choices narrowed down to two "finalists": WowGo 2S Pro & BackFire G2 Black. Both 'tick' all the right boxes, especially for a higher-end, quality, "budget" board. I've tried searching comparisons of these two against each other, but have come up completely empty (I can find comparisons of both against the same 'other' boards...just not these two against each other). I could REALLY use some help in deciding. What would the pros/cons of each (against the other) be. Also, something (for both) I haven't been able to find on either is info on 'customer service' (especially for the U.S.) Any "assistance" would be GREATLY appreciated.

It's able to climb up hills pretty good (parking garages, hills in a trail) as long as your battery isn't dying. Once the battery is getting low, it struggles as expected.

Any updates on the black lining vs the wood lining on the board? I ordered mine a couple of days ago and I really do hope that mine comes with black lining because I don't like the wood lining at all. Could it be that they now all come with black lining? The images on their website still show the wood lining though.. If it do come with wood lining, is there any way I could paint it myself?

To be honest, this board is the only one I've seen with the black trim. Not sure why. All the specs are the same as the advertised board. You'd certainly be able to paint the trim yourself. After some wear and tear, the natural wood is starting to seep through.

Yes you technically can, but I wouldn't recommend it due to bad traction. A wet surface won't damage the board by any means. It's water resistant and the electronics are fully sealed. With that being said, I'd still avoid heavy rains and never submerge the board etc.

You can consistently get 10 to 11 miles of range. That's really good at this price point

Here's the breakdown I came up with when comparing the advertised spec sheets head to head... Price: Backfire Range: Backfire Top Speed: Meepo Battery: Backfire ESC: Tie Hub Motors: Meepo Wheels: Backfire Deck: Meepo Trucks: Meepo (comes with options for the bushings) Customer Service: Backfire These are super comparable and are neck and neck when comparing specs. For my riding style and personal preference, I would take the Backfire. The price, range, battery and wheels provide more value in my opinion. Also their customer service has always been exceptional and sets them apart from their competitors.

I still haven't adjusted my trucks or changed my bushing since unboxing. I am about 200 miles in now. My recommendation is to start by loosening the trucks. See if that makes it more comfortable!

That's honesty a great question that I do not have the answer for. My thoughts are maybe the black ones are prototype boards? Not 100% sure. If I hear anything from Backfire, I will make sure to update this comment.

The specs are pretty comparable and they're around the same price. For me, I would go with the Backfire bc I like the "longboard" deck vs a mini, and I can attest its a great product! With that being said, I haven't personally ridden the Meepo Mini 2 but for your first board, I recommend more surface area on the deck. You can't go wrong with the G2 Black 2020. It's a great beginner board that you can grow into. Hope that helps!

I've seen some videos of people trying on Backfires Instagram, and it didn't look like it went too well! Traction is a major issue. Maybe the X2 or X3 could do better 🤷‍♂️ I wouldn't recommend it tho.
