Update after a year of driving: left hub broken, right doesn't get enough energy and the support team is an unbeatable, incompetent pain in the... They don't talk with you, you have to make videos of the problem(wtf, describing it is not an option) - which is not possible since even a short video is too big to attach it to a mail. So 600€ for the trash, I strongly DO NOT recommend Backfire at all. I even suggested sending it to their support warehouse in Hamburg - they refused like every other option that I offered. If you want to save some nerves, take another company!

Great job! Got the G3 Plus, it is super powerful and range test of 22 miles. No voltage sag and the carbon fiber deck is beautiful.

The deck weight is nothing. The plus has a bigger batt and is lighter then G3. The G3 supper flex will probably make it smoother on bumps.

Dawson Weems I had initially thought about getting Exway but ended up buying G3 with no regrets at all for what I was looking for, which was a quiet hub motor with a smooth ride. Exway hub motor board has thinner back wheels which makes for rougher ride. I absolutely looove my new G3. It’s quiet as the night and buttery smooth ride. With trucks slightly loosened, it carves like a dream. I feel my life is more complete with G3 and get stoked every time I ride it 🏄🏻‍♂️😅

I just got the G3 and I can tell you that it is much quieter than I even imagined. It’s smoother than I thought as well on nicely paved roads. It you don’t mind the loud noise, then go with Zealot since you can change the wheels. But if you want quiet ride, then G3 all the way

I've ordered a G3 as well but its been 10 days and no shipping updates so far, it just says ready for UPS, I'm in the UK btw. I'm at university at the moment and my lectures are about 1 mile away so I have to walk there and back multiple times a day so this is going to be a life saver!

It has been very fascinating to watch the progression of electric skateboards. It seems like most board companies are going with flexy decks. This is a good thing for lighter riders but for heavier riders this could be problematic. Good looking board. I did a video comparing flex of flexy and stiff boards I am 225. The results were interesting. Good video.

To slow down you simply roll the thumb wheel in the opposite direction to apply the brakes. Ranger X2 video may be coming early next week!

@@citizensnipz6961 Just as a precaution though, don't skate faster than you can stop yourself, and learn how to footbrake. I've had a few times where the controller disconnects which means no brakes. It'll save you from getting seriously injured in the future.

citizen snipz you pull back on the scroll wheel. Some boards have a feature that when you pull back on the scroll wheel the wheels turn in reverse. With those type of settings you pull back in the scroll wheel until the board comes to a stop. This particular board does not have this feature. However some people really like having access to this feature because it means you can come to a complete stop on hills and if you miss your stop you can roll back very quickly. Cheers 🥂

I just bought a G3 as well as some Cloud wheels. A friend let me play on his recently, and it seems to overcome my fears of having a pebble stop the board and send me flying, which I really don’t want to do while my dog is running along beside me. But a big problem that I have is shaky knees. Boards wobble to turn, and I have a little trouble centering myself and staying steady, so going fast is just not a possibility. How do I get over the trembling? Am I thinking about the wrong thing when trying to balance? Is there a tightness to the trucks that would help me? I’m kind of new to this, and I just want to have fun while giving my dog a fun run wherever we travel. But I don’t want to go slower than my pupper’s natural strolling pace.

My tips are: 1) don't go faster than you're comfortable stopping, 2) don't skate next to a dog when you aren't already comfortable turning and stopping bc dogs sometimes will stop suddenly and you don't want to pull them, 3) practice, practice, practice! I've been skateboarding before going on my current search for an eboard and it helps a ton with balance and comfort. Skateboarding is a lot about balance, so practice turning and changing your weight on the fly depending on your terrain. Anytime you step on a skateboard, accept that you will probably fall. Wear a helmet. Good luck :)

Also your board shouldn't uncontrollably wobble while turning, it only would wobble if your legs are wobbling. If you're having lots of trouble with stability, try tightening the trucks. It'll make it more stable but lower your turn radius.

@@cindy7544 thanks. I can feel that the source of instability is in my legs though. I mean, my friend stepped off of the board and handed me the remote, and he had no problem. So I’m 99% sure there’s a mental concept i’m missing that needs to be put into action. Remember, i’m not a skater. Think back to your first time trying to balance. That’s what I’m doing at age 33. As for my dog, don’t worry about him. Pretty much every question you have of him is answered, “Quite simply because he’s a good boy.”

the learning curve is not that sharp, it’s actually pretty easy to get used to, after about a week maybe a bit longer depending on how much you ride it, it becomes very comfortable, and it’s really fun.

Its never a good idea to skate in the rain or in wet conditions. These newer boards are water resistant but not water proof and there isnt a truly completely waterproof board out there.

I once saw a “Snowboard” style of skateboard at Indigogo or Kickstarter like five years ago... it had a 360 angled tire in the middle so that you could really slide with it as if you were snowboarding down the street... Chris Erics no board is designed to ride in that type of weather but an all- terrain board would give you a better chance. It will have more traction and such. But when you do so you risk water getting places it should not get. I would not ride in the rain regularly.
