Meermin Review Pt. 3: Out of the Box

+Falkner Blitz The short answer is that I am very happy with them. I have cycled the three pairs out each day and so I have worn each one about 8-10 work days. At first it was pretty rough wearing the new shoes all day, so maybe go for a weekend around the house. It was significantly better the second day. They are still breaking in now, but they are comfortable to wear all day. The black pair are taking the longest. Definitely having the shoes trees when they are not being worn and applying shoe cream each night the first few wears helped a lot. The first wear the sole are very slick, so be careful. For a few wears the heels will slide easily on tile or other slick hard surfaces; I nearly killed myself on the steps at work. Use caution when turning a corner on a hard surface like that. Otherwise, you are definitely not throwing your money away. I have been asked three times if they are Allen Edmonds and have received a lot of compliments. They look great, they are starting to become very comfortable, and I can definitely tell they are going to last. Hit that checkout.

+Falkner Blitz Some on Amazon and other places. If you get a chestnut pair like mine, I would recommend getting the polish and creme they recommend. I have the Meltonian light tan and it actually dries a little darker than the leather dye and streaks a bit. Otherwise, with darker colors, you should be fine using whatever you prefer.

+Marcus Liffler Thanks! I am loving them so far. Yes, the black oxford cap toes and the burgundy whole cut are both built on the Elton last, which is really a very sleek and stylish line while still holding a very classic appeal. I don't think they will ever be "out of style".

Mine certainly did. If you are concerned about fit, measure your foot in centimeters and send them the measurement and they'll let you know what size to get.
