I hope Captain can stay with you forever! After he was so forgiving of the human neglect, aka abuse, and did not give up on life and was willing to trust again, it would be beyond tragic for him to go anywhere that he would ever experience lack of love or care. He deserves to live out his life in peace, surrounded by people who love him! I hope you are able to find room to give him a forever home!

Gosh he is gorgeous! It really hurt to see him come so thin and in pain from the auction. He is perfect! I was crying when you shared the time he went to the other water tank and all of you cheered him on. I really hope he continues to heal well. I really love the meet and great Monday!

Something I’ve noticed, European trailers tend to have ramps ..which are very useful if a horse has a leg injury etc

Agreed! However, some ramps are even more scary than trailers without ramps for horses. We can also only have as nice of trailers as funds allow!

I love your videos captain is gorgeous. I wanted to mention a concern. Everytime I see where the bars are missing on your stalls in their pins at the top and the bottom I can just see a horse tearing their head open on them. If you don't replace the bars you should at least consider removing the pins that held them in. Keep up the good work.

captian is a gorgeous boy. glucoceneme condroyton powder in his meal would help him with his joints. i'm not a vet, but i worked with horses after my lessons. So many horses get slaughtered. :(

Your heart isn't the only one Captain stole. I have my own black beauty & this guy is so resilient & beautiful. His coat has become so shiny since with you. I need to find what state you're located in, maybe on your about tab here on YT? We have space for one more, & we have decided from watching your channel that it WILL be a rescue. 1 of our 3 are adoptions from sellers who rescued them. Ours was a philly from mare used in Premarin hormone replacement therapy (HRT), which leads to horse abuse for humans wanting hormones. I'm sorry, I will "suffer" with hormonal issues all day long before contributing to horse abuse. Do your homework people, this dirty little secret was in full swing in 90's & has recently resurfaced with those wanting to "transition." It is also being marketed as a form of "fountain of youth" or "turning back the clock" for humans. However, it's a ticking time bomb for horses. Their lives depend on us humans saying no to HRT and yes to rescue & adoption and donations to legit rescues. Beware and be A-ware of horse neglect & abuse.

@@PonyTalesRefuge in my opinion, it shouldn’t matter. They simply are not comfortable for the horse to wear all the time. Horses have very sensitive faces. It would be like having to wear an underwire bra 24/7. No one wants to do that. Plus, they need to be used to being haltered and unhaltered.

That is a horrible thing to say. His care and rehabilitation was/is done under the supervision of our veterinarian. Obviously, if he is in such pain as you assume, our vet would not advise us to continue his care. His recovery is amazing. So sad you see only bad things.
