I remember my childhood in your family. I was number 7 among 8 siblings: 4 boys and 4 girls. Sisters were older than brothers, and every sister picked one brother, who would do everything to take care of us. We would never feel alone in the difficult moments. Everyone is married now but we try to take care of each other. My dad loved traveling and would take us to Northern Areas of Pakistan in a Van, as you travel. Peace and Love to you and your family.

Nihari is a beef gravy type of dish, spicy, and quite rich with meat. It is cooked the whole night and eat with Rooti or a Naan. I am from Karachi but feel that Lahore, Islamabad, and northern areas are better for families having younger kids. You will find good Nihari in Rawalpindi and Lahore as well. It's better to visit in winters as summer and moo soon are quiet uncomfortable. There are many Pakistani food outlets in Houston and Dallas and hopefully you will find good Pakistani beaf Nihari there. Please note that Nihari is originally of beaf but at some places you will also find mutton Nihari but no comparison with beef.

The best times to visit northern Pakistan are autumn and spring but winter has its own charm. Accommodation for big family would be difficult. Try to travel woth some travel companies as they know good sometimes even hodden places to visit and also good palaces for accommodation.

Good time for Hunza is march to may or sep to oct. nov to feb is too cold and too much smog. and july to august is monsoon so too much rain and flooding. so, basically in any north areas like naran, hunza u don't wanna travel in monsoon and peak winter any time other than this is fine. then it just comes down to personal preference u wanna go in spring if u are a fan of greenery and flowers and vice versa. Say my salam to Noa. I am 19 as well.
