I went from serious relationship to serious relationship for many yrs, idealizing them, seeing myself as part of their family right away. She said herself at some point she longs for love and family belonging. I was like that. It is only now in my early 40's that Ive been single for over a year and I am finally getting comfortable being on my own, by myself, comfortable with me, facing all the pain and trauma the relationships temporary distracted me from, healing truly.

Eileen was certainly not "footing the bill"! Julia spent a lot, used her savings, worked her ass off to pay for Eileen's bail when Julia never knew there was a warrant to begin with! Eileen contributed nothing financially, sat on that ass refusing to even work part time.

But I do find it "interesting" that there always has to be a big age gap, and secondly, that these relationships always have to be professionally exploited. Of course this is what brings in the views, and views are Julia's livelihood.. So personally, I have a pretty massive age gap with my husband (17 years) and generally try not to judge age gaps. However, having two back to back massive age gap relationships is bizarre and seems very intentional which I can’t approve of. If my husband had a younger partner before me I would have definitely not been with him because that would seem like a problematic pattern to me. And in that same vein, I hope this guy isn’t seriously naive enough to not find this bizarre and be very cautious.
