It doesn't mean Eileen isn't pretty, it's just people don't see older/more fat women in media, women who look like Eileen don't play the love interests of the main male characters in a popular films... But she probably looks like the haters' mothers, aunts or sisters. Do they think they're ugly? It's normal to look like that when you're older. I'm 28 and I'm fat. I'm cool with it. I see a pretty woman in the mirror, even if I don't care about being attractive, because for some reason my brain thinks my face is cute haha. It also helps that I'm so positive and try not to judge others, so I don't judge myself. Eileen looks really lovely BTW :D I just see her smile and personality, and she's beautiful. It honestly breaks my heart everytime I hear Eileen saying "I know I am not beautiful". It sounds like she internalized some of the bullshit comments. Not only you are beautiful and charismatic but also you are very intelligent and outspoken which makes you a total package. My partner also has self-image issues, which blows my mind everytime he says something negative about himself because I genuinely cannot understand how he can look at what I am looking at and come to those conclusion. It is typically more acceptable though not always, a lot of the time men get congratulated if they get with a younger women. Yes people will say they are being used for their money but even then it’s not that big of a deal. They also get a pass with the “men mature slower then women” to make it better. This is part why they say that men get better with age and a women’s value decreases with age. It’s much more acceptable for a man then a women, a lot of people are in denial about this.
