I don't know if sofie feels the same way but my horse was really slow on trail and it made me sad when my sister just tells me to go faster the whole time and it gets annoying because I can't enjoy the ride without my sister telling me to trot up

If she’s nervous then don’t let her ride up front or being respectful that the pace is going to be slow. And just because her horse can walk faster doesn’t mean she has to if she doesn’t want to.

hey daybyday family!! Laura, if you feel more comfortable in a saddle with a deep seat, you should try a dressage saddle! No need for fancy movements or anything, but riding in a dressage saddle makes it much easier to sit deep! it’s also much more similar to what Sophie and gabby do in their lessons than western!!

Dressage saddles are great!I do also love GPs but they don’t give you some security that might be good for Laura.And you don’t have to be doing tempi changes and halfpass to have one!If she wants to jump though, you can’t do that in those.Any way that’s just my opinion!

DayByDay Vlogs I ride dressage and love my dressage saddle! I would also recommend an endurance saddle if you want something with a wider seat, I’ve ridden in one a couple of times and they are quite nice if you want something that is soft and moldable!

I had a Paso Fino named Rio he was my love he was 24 years old and we did barrels and he would beat the regular quarter horses in a race he was just amazing he loved to run and do all sorts of things together

Horses can sense fear, nervousness, and other things we may not know about. Laura, if youre getting nervous, your horse will because they will think something around will hurt them. Remember, stay calm!

Laura, I think you should get your own so that Gabby, Sophie, and you can go on trail rides and do more family stuff together. Pasofinos are quite naturally smaller horses compared to a warmblood or quarter horses. Love your videos. Those horses are so beautiful. I remember Cosie from video ages ago. @@JuliaSwiftrain hi hi, you can't... Paint is a breed.... A pinto colored quarter horse to be more specific (not exact) and pinto is a color (a base color with certain qualifying white markings or genetics i.e. solids) with tobaino being one of the patterns and overo being pretty much everything that isn't tobaino, including but not limited to frame, sabino's and other W genes. Seeing this is a Paso Fino (which I am emerged in) she's a pinto (hence them calling her pinta very common among the breed hahaha so original, not (not pointing fingers we had a pinta too), but have yet to come across a Paso farm that has a female pinto that isn't called pinta (pean-ta is how it's pronounced correctly). But anyway isn't like Evey Ford is a car but not every car is a Ford... Well the same goes for paint and pinto ;)

Friesians are for very advanced people. They aren’t like other horses. And she shouldn’t ride a taller horse. That horse is perfect for her size.

ysabelle goodrich not true I rode a friesian that is for beginners but she was a mare so difficult but the gelding I rode was good so depends on the horse not the breed

I own a Friesian and I don’t think there the right choice for a beginner friendly horse ! Ther also very expensive and you need a lot of knowledge or you will ruin them 🥰

I go to a horse ranch a few times a year that is 4 hours away from my house and I ride a Paso fino mutt named Hudson who is really crazy and all he wants to do is run because he’s 5 lmao. I really enjoy riding him because I’ve been going to my ranch for 8 years and just walking and cantering on quarter horses is too boring so now I gallop and prance and jump a lot more on trails with Hudson😅

Icelandic horses are also gaited which is what my mum has, they're super rare in New Zealand where I live but I'm so glad she found him, I've ridden him a couple of times and love riding him and feel so safe on him. He's super fluffy and cute too because they originate from a freezing cold climate in Iceland. You should google Icelandic horses to see what they're like if you're interested :)

Those hackamores are far too low on the horses face which causes pulling on the reins to apply pressure to a very sensitive, fragile part of the horses face, especially because of the leverage provided by the shank. When used incorrectly, any equipment can cause pain to a horse.

I love Paso finos. We used to have 2 on a farm I owned that were boarders. Their names were Platino (a light grey gelding with a silver mane and tail) and Shalamar (a bay mare). I rode Shalamar a bit and galloped her bareback. She was so insanely smooth. I would love to own one someday. Wondering if this barn sells their Paso Fino's? I'm also in Ontario.

The horse that is gaited is a Paso Fino and the gait is unique to the Paso Fino so it’s only in the breed.
