Hey! I don’t want to be that one internet trainer but I want to say something that I Would recommend doing. So Finn is really green and Sophie is a green rider you can see in the clips how Sophie doesn’t feel confident coming up to the jumps and Finn knows that. That is why he was refusing. So this isn’t any hate on your videos or channel I love them! I just think maybe put a more experienced rider on Finn when he goes to shows because it can really mess up a horse if they don’t have the right training at shows. Finn could be an amazing show horse with the right training yes Sophie did get over the jumps but it would have been WAY better if you put a experienced rider on him first. But really good job Sophie because you did awesome and you got Finn over the jumps! Now when I have lesson students go to shows I end up riding the horse they are riding first even if it’s a horse that I really trust I still hop on and ride them around because I would better be safe then sorry! Now when the students have gone to a few shows and did really well then I stop schooling their horses for so long and then they get to a point where they can school them by their self. I know I wrote an SA but I hope some of these tips helped! Also I LOVE your videos so it’s not like I’m hating on you guys your one of my favorite youtubers! So I hope you enjoyed reading my SA but the video was really good! Also ps: I’m VERY short so I can still ride the lesson ponies and I don’t weigh to much for them lol! I just didn’t want people saying like OMG why would you ride ponies still! I mean some of them are devils but they are sweet!

I don't think Finn was scared of the wooden jumps, I think he was just picking up on Sophie's energy which was nervous about the show. Just what I can see because he didn't spook he just sunk back behind Sophie's leg. Hope she keeps going with her journey and I can't wait to see her transformation into a confident amazing rider!

Sophie seems to drop her shoulders and look down at the jump, resulting in her taking off her leg. Maybe focus on that to try to stop the refusals.

It's really hard to get the nerve to keep trying when you're feeling nervous yourself and then the horse says they don't want to do it either. But you kept at it and you gave him the confidence to do it! So much better than last year!!

I'm so incredibly excited, my horse will get to come to college with me and its my dream to be able to go to a proper show one day as I've only ever done riding school shows. By the way, it's really cool to see Sophie doing cross rails, I remember the first show when Gabby lost her confidence and did flat instead. There was a massive storm and we all said that Storm had brought the storm! The girls have both come so far, but especially Sophie. She practically shines as a rider and she rides Finn so so well ❤️

Hello! I am not a horse expert but I am Experienced I would recommend new hay holders! Since you can not reach a lot in those but the best is the rope ones with holes all around it now if your horse catches it self on ropes I wouldn’t get it but if it dosent it will allow them to eat more! Now you don’t have to but I am just experienced so I recommend it!!

You guys are so incredible 🥰 I’ve been having a tough time lately , I got my first pony at the start of February this year and I love him so much! But I’ve been having lots of troubles with confidence and believing in myself I’ve had lots of tears because I get so frustrated at myself that I am too scared to jump the jump I jumped two months ago or just I can’t do things I used to do. I was on a real high until my pony bucked me of and my confidence just kept chipping away. It’s also been so hard because it’s winter here where I live and with school I can’t ride bc it gets to dark to quickly or the weathers awful but not riding a lot is’s easy to lose confidence. All in all I’m struggling quite a bit and watching Sophie doing so incredible and being so brave has really inspired me and i can’t Waite for spring so I can ride more and face all my fears! (I’m very similar to Sophie with fear sometimes) ❤️🧡💛
@DayByDayVlogs4 жыл бұрын

I think the reason that storm is like this now is what you said about his feet and stuff. But also it’s because gabby learned how to ride him. For me personally I really learnt how to ride my horse like 2 years later that I got him. I think Chino really taught her how to ride better and she got better and implemented that into storm! That’s what I think haha. Love you guys💕💕

Hi! I’m in no way meaning any hate in this!!! Sophie seems nervous, which everyone gets. I think Sophie needs a little bit more experience with jumping before doing a show. 😊 Also, just a tip here, when you approach a jump try looking up, and keeping your leg on is very important too. I know it’s hard but try not to feel nervous, your horse can sense it too, and will worry why you are nervous which will make him/her nervous. Also make sure to pat your horse when he goes over the jump, just to reassure him/her. Of course no hate intended just some little tips! Xx
