Hey guys thanks for watching the episode, the seat position is just comfy for me I guess and the budget tyres are temporary let me explain if you will. I have converted to full aluminium underneath the lower control arms are TT they are longer than stock R so as a result it’s given me -2.5 camber and I’m ripping the inside edge of the tyres very quickly so I’m looking to install camber adjustable top plates very soon to help get rid of some of that camber then I’ll chuck some good rubber on her 😎

This is what I would class as a build. This is old school car culture. Pure petrolhead. I love his passion and the car is an extension of that passion. In an RS man through and through but I love the R lines of all golfs. From VR6 to current models. Cracking build san. I love it.

Thanks bud appreciate the positivity, the builds not finished many things to change ie tyres etc, aux rads. Couple bits an pieces. But will be a full OE spec when done. I’ve built it to date to prove the concept works and I can do it. I will tidy everything up as I go along.. there’s just no pleasing people these days always got something nasty to say.. shame.. I would help them.. but they don’t deserve my time.. their loss.

@@boostboystv unfortunately that’s life in 2023 my friend - a total lack of altruism and love for a brother. If I don’t like something - I move on. This though, this golf you’ve built is special. Whether you had help or not, it’s the vision and the end (projects are never finished 😂) product im really into. Sounds like you’re a skilled man too, plastic welding isn’t easy (properly), I’m panel/body man myself so I appreciate what’s gone into it. Big question for me - will you be upping the power before finishing the finer details or finishing the OE finer details then bumping up the numbers? Again brother, this is my type of shit. 39 years old here and I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of fast cars, petrolheadonism or true car culture. Love it. Hopefully bump into it along the way once I’ve thrown a turbocharger on my MK5 R32. Moving house so it’s on hold. 5/6 pot turbos have the best sound……

I’m tall, and in most cars the steering wheel doesn’t come far back enough. Often have to sacrifice a little bit of arm angle, in order to get proper leg, knee and back position sitting nice and low

He did it all himself.... but Had a good friend who helped him put the engine in Had a good friend do a wiring Had someone do the coding to get the acc working Does everything properly but didnt bother fitting the rs stuff... just bent the hoses Plastic welds up a washer bottle rather than get a decent alloy one made .... Each to their own I guess

Not if you do it yourself like him. Buy a crashed rs3 (assuming you have a golf r) then take what you need and part out the rest.

Great build, im also on the Venom700 on a CEPA RS3 8P, im currently running my engine in now from just being fully built and wondering what pressure you running it at to get the figures and is it all just on pump fuel? Im aiming for the 650-700bhp mark.

The DAZA engine was from 2017 & up anything 2016 & under is still an RS3 but internals are not as strong,the DAZA has a much stronger bottom end made from aluminium where as these have steel bottom end,i think I’m correct but I’m sure someone will point out if I’m not,but they both sound near on the same tho,but if you was to do this swop you’d wonna go DAZA for more power as the older version stage 2 be lucky to get 450hp

This ha dnw engine code not daza but the daza blocks are known to throw a rod, but the pistons are good for around 800 hp, all you need is uprated rods and run a full frame turbo and have 700bhp and plenty

I have a mk6 golf and have owned about a dozen vws in my life so obviously I love em. However, new vws and Audis are really pretty dull. And although I can appreciate the work that’s gone into this, I just can’t see the point. Just buy an RS3? It won’t be as common as the mk7 (which is absolutely everywhere) and won’t depreciate so quickly either. Weird
