@@Mr11ESSE111 oh god, yet another of the reviewer cult followers who think CPUs are only made for gaming. 9700X is as fast as 12700K/14600K in multi core performance, faster in single core while using way less power so being much easier to cool (quiet running PC is a great thing to have). It's one of the best CAD/CFD/FEM/rendering workstation CPUs that does not break a bank, doesn't suffer from scheduling issues (either between CCDs or P- and E-cores), supports AVX512, isn't suffering from horrible OS hangs like Intel's CPUs while still offering sufficient number of threads for relatively heavy multitasking. Also, it runs just fine on Win 10 which is faster and less bloated than 11. Oh and while we are on a OS subject, gaming performance also improved vs. Zen 4, both on Win 10 and Linux, quite tangibly. So yeah, continue your crusade but keep it to yourself as you don't even know much about Zen 5 performance yet you scream from the top of your lungs. Thanks...Esse? I guess?

Ryzen 9800X3D is a great example of an amazing processor with a let's see if good or bad price. When you get more performance for a new release or generation for the same price this is progress and innovation. When corporations raise prices for greedy profits and justify them only by a small increase in performance it is bad, this is stagnation. The market proved many times that when choosing quick profits over progress, new competitors will emerge and overtake them sooner or later. Milking customers is a bad recipee to progress and innovation, and let's hope AMD will not chose to copy Intel and nvidia on the bad side, especially if they want to increase their market share.

@moldyshishkabob22 күн бұрын
While I agree with you... it's hardly AMD's fault. Why would they need to bother? Their only CPU competitors are Intel, Apple, and Qualcomm. Intel? Can't stop shooting their foot. Apple? Some of those customers wouldn't pick AMD anyway while the others want the ARM efficiency. Regardless, has nothing to do with gaming. Qualcomm? Rocky start to Windows, with ARM breathing down their neck and jeopardizing potential future releases. AMD has no incentive. Why pour resources into "establishing a lead over competition" when there is none? Why "increase market share" anyway when they're _dominating_ the valuable datacenter market?
@dsirius150022 күн бұрын
@@moldyshishkabob Agree with you too, and I see how this strategy is working, also I see how this AMD "strategy" will bite them back because it is working for AMD against Intel, and in the same time is working for Nvidia against AMD. AMD will never capture more vidoecard market share with this "strategy". Thus, AMD better give customers more performance for the right or the best price, and more people will buy AMD processors, and also will start buying more AMD videocards too.

@2709rahulravindran21 күн бұрын
The comparision with the 7800x3d is kinda sandbagged because they used the 7900xtx for those tests. Pretty sure using the 4090 would increase that gap by a bit. Also the 9800x3d can be overclocked by 200mhz, while the 7800x3d can't, so expect small gains there as well.
@HoldinContempt21 күн бұрын
this is stock vs stock performance. The biggest change in the new architecture is the cache chip is flipped underneath the die now so it can overclock WAY higher than the 7800x3D. The people who got early samples of 9800X3D have already pushed it to 5.6ghz All core. so its actually going to be 15-25% faster than the 7800X3D once you tune the chip and pair it with fast ram.
@Paulrus1021 күн бұрын
@HoldinContempt I feel that's been done with exotic cooling though and yes this chip will be easier to cool but heat will still be an issue. More frequency doesn't always result in more performance. From my research aswell I've read that putting the core chiplet on top introduces a fair bit of lattency and the increase in clock speed will be mainly to counter-act this issue, this is really only an issue in gaming which is all I'm interested in.
