You can tell he relies too much on his physical attributes rather than putting in the effort. He has a big arm but just waits for his receivers to get open, trying to force it in instead of truly understanding what defenses are doing. On the other hand, CJ Stroud stands out-not only is he a great quarterback, but he’s also a genuine fan of the game. He knows the details, even what high school players went to from the teams he faces.

It’s crazy watching the recent qbs from Cali like Jaden Daniel’s, cj shroud, dj u, and Bryce young matriculate through college football and beyond. Jayden Daniel and cj shroud weren’t getting any of the hype that dj u and Bryce young was getting. But It’s due to the fact that shroud and Jaden both came from lesser known high schools in California vs Bryce young (Mater dei) and Dj U ( St. John bosco)
