I would bet anything that the theater was not open. *Why* would they be if they would have no customers? *How* would it even be open if employees can't get to the theater? Not even any of the *EMERGENCY SERVICES* could travel in that weather so how could the theater be open? I forgot to mention this, but it was also Christmas Eve so it is extremely probable that the theater would be closed even without there being a blizzard. He probably follows schedules and is used to routines because of his cognitive limitations. He likely believed that he should be at work as he normally is on that day of the week without realizing the risks of walking outside in a blizzard or that the theater would not be open because of the weather.

@factsoverfiction7826 I don't know for sure because I stopped working there several years before this incident, but the resident cannot be prevented from leaving the house, because that is aform of abuse and the staff members cannot restrain them from leaving, the individuals who live there have intellectual disabilities, the reporter said that he has the intellectual ability of a 10 year old but he is by age an adult. If he chose to leave the residence the staff members cannot prevent him from leaving and they cannot leave the other residents unattended that means a charge of abuse against the staff member for each resident in the house left alone , this house had room for 8 people who lived there. The staff members job is to assist the residents in learning life skills, cooking, cleaning, and laundry, budgeting, meal planning, grocery shopping, teaching them the bus routes in the community, making sure that they took their medication properly. Some houses have 24 hours staffing Some do not.

@factsoverfiction7826 I'm sure that they investigated the situation, and it would be considered a personal matter for the human resources department of the company and the state over seeing agencies. I don't know if the agencies got sued by the family or not in this case.
