Well, there's a second class I wanna get ahold of. Much as I love seeing older characters like EV coming back, stuff like the Gunwitch really shows the creativeness that can come with non-tower heroes. She's like the Barbarian in the original, pure assault stats and stuff. Depending on how they do DPSers this time around, her tower stats may be replaced with stats buffing her witchcraft, or they could nix it entirely and tie it all to ability power. Won't know until a few days.

If you played the original, she's no doubt similar to the Barbarian there: All tower skills replaced with her abilities, and her tower-based stats are replaced with buffs to either specific abilities or general buffs to powers. Really depends how pure-assault characters like Gunwitch and Barbarian's gonna be balanced around this one.

Dear Trendy, why would you make an 8 skill DPS character? There was absolutly no need for it in the current state of the game. I can personally build all the maps to stay afk, only having to lvl up defenses. That being said, I have 0 need for a DPS character and the problem with this is, I'm not the only one... far from it. Any new player that finally reaches those 10k medals (which isn't easy if you're a new player - since you cant speed run maps like bastille which takes about 450 secs if you already know how to build it, winning 23 medals everytime) will not buy gunwitch. Older players will buy gunwitch to "investigate her" and that'll be it, since it has no decent use... and I honestly doubt that it will be as useful/powerful as EV's laser beam or the apprentice with the new weapon.This is why I don't understand why you would make a character with 8 DPS skills, ATM. Yet, here I was, happy to have more defenses to mess with instead of the mainstream proton-beams builds, only to be let down (you've been doing great so far, but a character with 8 DPS skills DOES NOT FIT IN THE CURRENT STATE OF THE GAME). It's like frosties + traps were replaced with archers + beams... can only hope that some towers from the basic heroes are actually usable, which is bloody unlikely, since flamethowers (the one tower that actually had the most chance of being interesting) did not get a single buff... even in range. Like, for god sake.

MewmewGrrl I liked the original game. It didn't feel like you needed to buy DLC to have a complete experience. Not to mention the fact that, as more classes are added, they're sure to run out of ideas. The gun witch is straight up a mix of the Huntress and the Sorcerer. I bought into the hype for DD2 and I am hardcore regretting it.

When the 4 starters are buffed, you don't need DLC for the full expirience. How would not making new characters be less "running out of ideas"? Plus games like LoL and DotA have like hundreds of characters with different abilites. DD2 has 7. I guess there is some space before they run out of ideas. Also, a mix of Huntress and Aprentice? Ok, which one of the two can hower in the air, turn enemies into books or double jump? Dunno where you see any kind of mix...

Ugh, why do they keep trying to make full DPS characters in a tower defense game, makes zero sense to me. Why on earth is this a thing. Are we going for less or for more tower sentric gameplay in a TD? Lackluster is all I have to say, I've played this since defense council days and i'm really dissapointed in that they make these types of characters still. The barbarian was such a thing, just a lackluster piece of meat that was almost mandatory for killing bosses.

No I didnt even care to vote because the one I wanted to win was already losing by a landslide so I kept my points for other things. And yeah I've probably played this way more then you so I wouldnt go and call me daft only because I had an opinion. Name calling on first argument basis, haha. grow up really. This is a TOWER defense game, you dont go and make full dps characters, we want more different towers for wider builds, not some DPS lord that one shots bosses because they always make them OP and mandatory, But I guess you dont play DD1, DD:E or DD2 enough to be able to make a decent assumption. UGH!! THEY STOLE MY IDEA! I had this idea back in freaking 2015! A witch who uses guns and attaches elemental spells to her bullets! I don't care, i'm still using it in my turn based RPG. I find it funny after publicly showing off the idea that it then shows up in another game in 2016.. I guess i will rename her class as a Gun Mage... My idea was a final fantasy type magic user who would apply elements to different types of guns. I have a turn based RPG i been working on for years now..
