While I agree, it is great to adopt an animal in need. It is also important to acknowledge and promote responsible breeding of healthy animals. If we only adopt animals from shelters, it pushes the idea that it’s ok to irresponsibly breed animals or we should only adopt animals that were strays or born on the streets. Good breeding helps prevent animals from being born with abnormalities they wouldn’t otherwise be born with. Again, totally agree it is wonderful to adopt an animal in need because there are so many out there that need homes. But there is still a need for animals to be well bred and cared for!

My cat I found abandoned on the street, he had a hernia, a cold, was super skinny etc. I took him to the vet and fixed him up, they had to remove an eye. He's not the best looking cat in the world but he's full of love. He's become pretty rotund now, I named him Gobbles.

@@videofun59 That's not enough. Cats are social creatures and they learn from each other. No human can act and behave like a cat. Especially kittens need the interactions with other kittens for their development. That's why a good breeder would never give a kitten to people which want to keep it as a single cat. Even my adult cats are still helping each other by cleaning their furs and they love to play together and to sleep arm in arm at their cat tree. It's sad that the highest paid cat of the world has obviously no feline friend.
