Your car gives me tears bro. It even has the same color combo. My family had a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo thats been in the family for 17 years until my aunt got into accident. I have so memories of that car going back to my childhood, also with me learning how to drive. I hope she serves you well man! Hopefully I can find a clean one for sale in the future.

We had one back in 2018, it was in good condition and it was going really well.... until a freaking Ford F-Series hit us. I'm still sad, because that is my favorite SUV.

Oh sweet! Well, start by asking yourself "what am I (you) planning to do with it" whats your goal with it, Whats your budget, how often will you being what you wish with it. Once those question can be answered, then pull up some ideas on the web, jot down some plans that you found that you like. Let me know if you have any questions.

In offroad capabilities? Honestly...the new Passports would give the old Passports a run for their money. They are very good. However, certain obstacles, yeah the older Passports would be more capable, just due too ground clearance alone

Hey! I have an 01 I just got, I’ve been unable to read codes for the abs with an OBII scanner. I’ve heard of others shortcutting by shorting out points 4 and 12 to get flash codes, and that’s not working either. Any ideas?
@GridLineGo4 жыл бұрын
I don't...I know you'll have to get the code via flash. You wont be able to retrieve codes via scanner. I've heard that the pin out for the DLC on these are funky and sometimes they're backwards or upside down, something along those lines. I'm sorry I can't help you with that.

So in the US, they did use a different A/T transmissions? In Thailand, we got the one from Aisin (AL30-E). This is bulletproof reliable.
@GridLineGo3 жыл бұрын
I didn't know that. Thats good info! Here we get the GM 4L30E auto and MUA5 for manual
@GridLineGo3 жыл бұрын
@@williamperri3437 Yeah they do look great in black! And as far as the powertrain goes, I believe the transmission is the same. However, I also believe the engine has direct fuel injection for that year

Hey man awesome rig! I was looking at getting a 98 rodeo with the 3.2L and was wondering if you knew of any specific things to look for on these trucks and specifically engine and transmission. And any common issues they have. The one im looking at has 58k miles.
@GridLineGo3 жыл бұрын
Thanks you! 58k?! Wow! They're awesome, capable and underrated for sure. The auto transmissions do tend to be the weak link if not maintained well. Adding a good transmission cooler and regular fluid/filter changes will really prolong their life. Other than that, just look at your normal wear items as if you were buying any other used vehicle.
