Ben Logan Using the most basic method I can solve in just under two minutes. There are 20 trillion possible permutations of a six-sided cube. No one is going to solve one (even once). without using algorithms. Even then, you must memorize a fair amount and know when/how to use them.

Yup I noticed that in the first jam. He is showing support and encouragement and is playing in a supportive pocket rather than show boating. These are signs of seasoned professional musician and a humble and nice human being. The good Captain shows how Petes influence has rubbed off on him in his nice supportive bass playing as well. Josh and Nick both have a similar understanding of under playing and supporting the piece of music being played. Both are very good musicians and I enjoy their show for both the informative information and the fantastic, creative jams that they perform to show gear working in real band contexts. They also make me piss my pants with laughter regularly, which is much needed in these troubled times.

Andertons is the pioneer of creating guitar content that went beyond bad demos played with out of tune guitars in someone’s basement. JHS has picked up the mantle and delivers content that is on par with something you’d see on broadcast television. Absolutely fantastic, free content. LOL- I like Josh myself and he's a really good guitarist but you need to watch this show more often- they've had guitarists on here that Josh can't even get close to- and I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that. Tommy Emanuel has done this show man- the guy wrote and performed Classical Gas. Marty Freidman and Steve Vai have done the show. Rabea Massad is a regular on here- one of the best guitarists currently playing. Imo Pete is a better guitarist than Josh as well- and he's on almost every show. Josh is great but you guys chap your lips on his ass to the point it gets nauseating to listen to and just sounds silly. Brag on him for what he deserves to be bragged on for- his pedals and his personality- at least then you won't sound delusional. If you want to point out a truly exceptional musician on Josh's show- it's Nick imo. Not only is he one of the best drummers I've heard, but he also writes truly good material for both the show, in the form of skits and so forth, and songs he put son Spotify- and he plays multiple instruments. I wouldn't say he's amazing on guitar or bass but he's damn solid- and when you couple that with his exceptional drumming and ability to write- Nick would be a tremendously valuable asset to any band. So would Josh or anyone else on the show- excluding those that don't play- but especially Nick. Good drummers are rare birds, if you can get one that has all these other talents- you're way ahead.

Idea for a pedal- the rubix cube. Whatever way you fumble with it, you get a different tone depending on the colours. Not sure how the circuitry and soldering would stand up to hours of twisting and turning but it would be fun.

@Um_im_ryan 4 жыл бұрын
It would have to be digital and not the combination but it probably would be possible, you just could never get the same tone. Also @ferus, it’s kind of like the pedal where you can put liquids into to make different sounds, sure it’s a gimmick but it does have some practical use

It would have to be a 2D representation of the 3D cube, meaning that it would have 3 rows with a total of 9 squares . Each square could control different parameters and the combinations could yield an array of sounds.

Sugary sweet video! When I grew up in the 80’s I don’t remember pedals at all really? A friend had a wah but that’s about it. I remember some friends who had bigger bands using the rack units though. There are so many pedals now. I almost got stuck in the rabbit hole! Ahaha

Ben Logan I grew up playing in the 80's and besides a MXR Disortion+| Crybaby Wah or some DOD or Boss modulation pedal, it wasn't nuts! At least in Ct scene! Racks came towards end of decade into early 90's and then Grunge ended that lol!!

5:10 - "this thing in london"... I agree. Love that period circa 67-72. You can imagine the richness of that blues rock scene. First the bands from british invasion and then yardbirds, page, clapton, beck, cream... all the same guys talking and producing things together. The guy from the Band of Joy (first Robert Plant band) that then founded Laney Amps in 67... Jim Marshall putting out his first heads... hendrix started there too. Psychedelic stuff everywhere. Magic period and place for the arts. Amazing scene.
