I personally don't care at all about the overhyped AI "features". What I'd really want is finally a properly usable Windows tablet based on an ARM CPU, thin, without active cooling, with excellent power efficiency and decent battery life.

I'm absolutely with you. Couldn't care less about the AI stuff but I've been waiting for a competitive ARM powered Windows laptop since the Snapdragon 7c laptops came out a few years back but they screwed it up by only putting them in budget laptops. I do believe however, the Surface Pro and the Surface Laptop with ARM chips do have active cooling. Let's at least hope it's only used in full loads.

Does ANYONE know what display it is? All it says is that it is a HDR2+ whatever touchscreen, I need to know the refresh rate and the resolution of it. Thanks, Microsoft does not say it anywhere.

You will have to wait for people to port their software for ARM and by the time everyone is done porting their software, the surface laptop they released would have been old, out of date and discontinued.... I'm still a big fan of arm though, but it's nowhere near as replacing x86 for traditional high-end tasks

The real question is going to be whether Qualcomm's efforts towards day-1 Linux drivers will translate to immediate support for full Linux on these machines (with Box64 when things are really dire), but that didn't seem like a fair question under a Microsoft video...

HOPE YOU DIDN"T USED THE SAME GLUE OR ADHESSIVE THING TO THE HINGE OF THIS LAPTOP. I ENDED UP USING SHOE GLUE JUST TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER, HOPEFULLY WILL LAST LONG.

I was hoping for a Intel Ultra 7 or 9 paired with a Nivdiva 4000 series GPU's but however, Microsoft being Microsoft only made slight changes to their products then charge 2,099+. For this class, price point, and especially in a supposly high end Windows device I do not want a Qualcomm chip there great for Andriod phones or tablet but it's a no on this the only major change is the OLED display option with is Limited to the Surface Pro not the Laptop at this Point get the M4 iPad Pro.

Looks like an absolute winner to replace my Surface Laptop 4. That 13.8 screen looks nice and modern, as does the larger+haptic trackpad. I hope that new microphone button at the top can also be used to activate voice search and voice dictation, like it does on my MacBook. I have been waiting for this first real Surface Laptop update since I bought my first generation Laptop which is still running strong on Windows 10 Pro as an extra family device. That Surface Pro 11 looks pretty cool too but $450 for the new detached functionally Flex board is crazy, but based on Apple asking those prices for their new 2024 iPad Pro keyboard, I understand the biz play.
