I think you can't go back. But if it's your first time playing the game,don't restart your game just for this mission alone. Keep playing it because there are lot's of interesting places later on. So in my opinion, just finish the game and start over after you finish it.

while making this game they were lazy enough to not make a gym in the same map as the school, a lot fos stuff are just 2d ingluding the bowler hat guy that doesn't even have a walinkg animation 0:13

Well in my opinion, wandering around the gym would've been nonsensical since Wilbur was trying his best to hide in that place in the movie. You are right about the Bowler Hat Guy part, but it's still funny though :D

yeah but it would be fun to explore, like it would also be fun the explore the future, like the clean one where everything is nice and colourful instead of the lava one

As I saw from some of the trailers, there could've been more parts similar to the School part but for some reason, they didn't include those parts in the game. I still love this game, but It's a shame that we could've get more content than the final product.
