@Got It I’m not the best to go in depth of it because I’m not a satanist myself, but from what you can read they’re basically atheists using satan as their logo in sign of “free-will” and rebellion etc. They actually do a lot of good for society in terms of charity work etc. and if one of them would meet a dude doing “rituals” painting their face white and straight up believing in Satan for real they would just laugh and tell him to take his meds because you know Santa Claus is real as well. There’s a lot of dumb cults like that who do so and they’re not the real Satanists and people confuse them with each other giving them a bad name thinking they actually do believe in Satan and god themselves. Imagine the skinhead movement from England and how now everybody thinks you’re neonazi just because you shaved your head when it literally had nothing with hate and racism to do. So, to finish it all imagine a guy harming an animal for “Satan” and brags about it to satanists and how he pleased his lord and how good of a satanists he is. Satanists kicks his ass for harming the animal and tells him to get his head checked. See the difference? People got the whole movement wrong just because of some cults and taking their own religions too seriously like if Easter bunny exists.
