It was so nice to hear the story about Mai’s family! It’s crazy what she went thru. No wonder she is so mature, she had to figure all out on her own!! It really brings the hope that no matter how bad your situation is, you can make it!

Your reluctance to dive deep into what you really feel and what really happens etc shows that your struggling with everything. If you see this, please think about your mental health further

Mai is an excellent example of someone who is truly good at what they do. The fact that she makes viral videos without even being intentionally strategic for the algorithm speaks to this. And her courage to go for what she wanted despite her upbringing is so inspirational! Also W Graham!

Girl, you don't actually believe what she said about not being strategic or following trends or thinking anything about the algorithm at all, do you? Lmao 🤦‍♀️ come on girl...she literally uses her age and "living alone"90s as clickbait, as well as lying about spending a lot of money (like she mentioned). She posted the "Euphoria" video right at the hype of the show and at the exact time literally a hundred other people were doing the exact same video. She did "Kylie" and "kendall" videos, as well as "Bella Hadid" videos, etc. She literally pays an entire team of people who's literal job it is to give her ideas and follow the trends for her. And many, many other examples... Like come on girl, it's blatantly obvious that she got where she is by having a strategy and following the algorithm. Don't just blindly believe everything anyone says, especially "influencers".

@@cassthompson3386 okay. now what? either way, she makes entertaining videos, and is pretty successful for her age regardless of what her strategy is. u’ve made multiple comments on this video alone against her, and for what? what do u gain? and since we’re making assumptions about ppl we don’t know’s lives from behind a screen, i’d say u seem pretty fcking miserable.

@@cassthompson3386 thank you! Someone said that! I'm sure parents are involved as well. Because 15 alone in USA? Yeah, sure... To believe in that you should be 12. Plus her videos? My heart goes out to Mai because she is still so young and you can tell she really wasn't ready to discuss when she moved out at 15. I was kicked out at 17 and lived in a very toxic home staying at friend's homes and eventually moving in with a bf. It's a sensitive subject because if you come from chaos it can affect you even later on in life. I am so happy that she is beyond successful, but I really hope she finds or is seeing a good therapist to help work through her childhood trauma. She has such a good heart.

Definitely one of my favorite podcast you guys have had. Seeing the perspective of a female KZbinr has been really eye-opening when it comes to her management style (being carefree of deadlines and doing things on her own time, living happily day to day) compared to graham who is a micromanager and is on top of every single deadline. It’s cool to see that despite their very different approaches to managing their businesses, they’re both successful. It just goes to show that there isn’t a solid recipe for being successful, so long as it makes you happy and that you’re true to who you are, as shown by everyone here. Awesome podcast guys!

Graham and Jack saying it’s hard to picture Mai being shy because she seems so extroverted tells me all I need to know about them. They aren’t good at reading people. Sometimes, people overcompensate or appear extra ‘bubbly’ even unintentionally to hide their fears and anxiety. This is the first time I’ve watched Mai and even I can see the anxiety and jitters practically bouncing off of her. Her eyes tell a story. Even talking about her childhood, you can see how difficult it was, she was really tears eyed. The procrastinating from talking about it due to its sensitive nature. Her social anxiety is not surprising at all. I’m a mental health professional but even before then, it’s just about reading people. Their body language, facial expressions, eyes will tell you way more than their words, if you care enough to look 💕

I was thinking this the whole time, it's a shelter for people who have gone through crap. It's sad to see, but I love the fact that she's pushed through and even though she might be hiding behind that personality, she's in a good mental state overall. And the fact that she's open about her life and struggles is really refreshing to see.
@JakeAoTK
@JakeAoTK Жыл бұрын
I studied communication for 6 years. She seems pretty extroverted to me. She feeds off fan interaction, her shyness I’d think is most likely situational anxiety from not being exposed to certain scenarios earlier in life. Many people just find it easier to be extroverted or social on the web due to it’s hyper personal nature. A lot of her behavior more so reminds me of my ADHD more than anything. Procrastination, time management, being jittery, changing focuses constantly, etc etc. But that’s just how I saw it. I’m sure we could probably go deeper, but maybe just some food for thought for anyone reading.

@@samu-chan I’m a mental health professional hun, so yes, I do know know what social anxiety is 😊. I actually used to experience it badly in my teens. And there’s different levels of social anxiety. Everyone is different, so what it might feel like to you, it may feel different to someone else. But you don’t invalidate someone else’s experiences of mental health / struggles just because you feel your one is more ‘severe’ or pressing. There is no comparison, because we don’t compare 💕

Most modern day girls can easily pick up on jack he’s too soft if he were to get married right now he’d get heart broken and financially rekd quick. He seems to want an old school type girl which in recent years has turned into a unicorn. The only thing that helps him is his current public status. My advice to jack: keep grinding focus on your growth be nonchalant with dates and when you find a decent girl put SOME energy into it and later on when getting engaged set boundaries and let her know she’s the one BUT she’ll be submissive in the relationship and you’ll be the man of the house even if it’s her house 😂 ❌Happy wife happy life ❌ ✅a happy man a happy relationship✅

She’s so content, together, and appreciative of living in the present. I was pleasantly surprised by this interview. I just thought she was a young, naive gal. I’m wrong🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel like there is something deeper going on with her dad that we don't know about, it's none of our business but that's why she may have been a little awkward about the Childhood stuff

Thanks Graham and Jack for another very interesting episode of your show. I probably have heard of your guest but obviously I'm not the demographics and most likely would not watch much of anything that she posts, but I love hearing from her because I believe that she has a lot that people can learn from. Even without much planning at least from the impression that she gives, she has achieved a tremendous amount in life so far and it's probably accomplished more in her short life than most people have in 50 years. And thank you to you too for the show this is my absolute favorite series on KZbin and as I've said in other comments I really would love to see a midweek chat with the two of you and Alex, just sitting around talking for 20 or 30 minutes, or more, about business and life and other things. And not a show where you guys are trying to be funny although it's OK to joke around, but talking about the behind the scenes aspect of being a KZbinr in the financial space as well as everything else you guys do including Alex and Jack, even if you don't do it on a regular basis and even if it's kind of niche, I really encourage you to resume doing that if you're able to. I have to say that Graham is really the one who inspired me to start my own channel which has blown up recently when I've semi-transitioned from stock investing videos to DB Cooper and other unsolved mysteries, in the last couple weeks I've gotten close to the magic 4000 viewed our mark and still have a ways to go to achieving 1000 subscribers but even my subscriber count has started taking off lately. Thanks again so much Graham!

I think Mai’s videos do so well because of returning viewers. If let’s say she does have 2 bad vids in a row, her fanbase is loyal and in a way formed a relationship with her just like how she feels about them
